About this listing

A cozy room in a beautiful flat in Oslo's trendy Grünerløkka, near restaurants and bars, and well connected by public transportation to popular tourist attractions and other fun and interesting parts of the city.

The space

The 2-bedroom flat is located in the West-facing point of a "Flat iron" building, with a spacious living room designed in the minimalist "Scandinavian" style.

The spare bedroom that guests will stay in is located just off the kitchen and sleeps 2 on a comfortable bed that folds out of the wall.

All flats have access to the large shared roof terrace at the top of the building, from which we have a view of the hills around the city, downtown Oslo and the Oslo fjord. Summer on the roof is an especial delight!

Guest access

Guests will have their own key for easy access in and out of the building.

There is wifi in the flat and a variety of chargers and universal adapters to keep you plugged in.

All bedding and bath requirements are available, including use of the hair dryer. Washing machine and soap are also available for use.

I have a fully stocked kitchen including dish washing machine, and use of the kitchen is available at all times.

Interaction with guests

I am at work during the week but am usually around during the evenings and weekends.

I am a huge fan of eating out so can recommend places to eat in different parts of the city to suit any taste or budget. Oslo/Norway travel guides and language books are also available, and I can give my own biased opinions on best things to see or do!

Beautiful, clean apartment in a brilliant location. Can walk to most places and Trams and Buses will easily get you everywhere else. Directions were really easy to follow, and Marianne seems nice although we had limited interaction with her. Definitely check out the roof terrace, great to watch the sunset!

Very stylish room! I felt perfectly at home. I really felt like I'm living in a flat in Oslo. Though I didn't have much chance to see Marianne, she was bright and personable. She texted me all the informations I needed to get to her flat beforehand. She let me use whatever I needed in her house. Her flat is accessible from Oslo central station by tram or bus, close to nice coffee shops and parks. Good environment. I recommend Marianne's flat especially to single travelers who wants to have your base of journey where you can feel comfortable like your own house.

Great, great location. Very pretty apartment. Only downside is that bedroom is right by kitchen. Host is super conscientious, but you still might hear sound from there if you're a light sleeper.

Marianne's apartment was truly the perfect Airbnb. Great location in the heart of trendy Grunerlokka, comfortable bed, perfectly clean throughout and a bright and airy feel (not to mention the best rooftop terrace in Oslo!) But the greatest past of the stay was the host! She made me feel comfortable and at home, and went beyond what was expected... waking up to fresh cinnamon buns on my first morning was a very thoughtful gesture. Would definitely recommend!

Mari place is beautiful, in a quite yet cool area, a great cafes, restaurant, bars, shops, parks, and a river all within 5 min walk. Public transportation is also close if needed. Mari is very nice, helpful, and fast in replying to messages before I arrived, and in person she offers great recommendations to see around.

I had a perfect stay at Marianne's apartment. I did not meet her in person, but the contact with her was perfect, she always answered very quickly and managed everything perfectly. The apartment is exactly as described. It is very clean, comfortable and quite. The area Grünerløkka, where the apartment is located, is really cool and down to earth, lot of cute stores, cafes etc. From there it is also very easy to get to the centre, just a 1-2min walk away there is the tram and bus station. There is also a supermarket very close. I would definitely recommend staying there, it is super cool.
