The space
The home has keyless entry and you will receive a code to use for the door the day before your arrival. Our cleaner is exceptional and you will find the place sparkling.

Our favorite way to spend a weekend at the Mountaintop Escape is to hike at the nearby Mohonk preserve, pick up some fresh veggies from the farmers market (Walkill Farms) on the way home, BBQ up some dinner and then get in the hot tub for a relaxing soak!

(There is a large gas BBQ and deck furniture is put away for winter but will be available with seating for 8 when it's warm enough!)

The hot tub is brand new and seats 6 occupants. It is an amazing spot to watch the sunset and we do recommend soaking at this time of day! (Although, it's pretty incredible to look up at the stars from it as well.) The hot tub is just outside sliding glass doors in the lower level of the house.

There's indoor dining available for 8 and kitchen is exceptionally equipped to cook a gourmet meal. Lemon zester, garlic press, even a food processor are all available. Shake up a cocktail and enjoy in one of our diverse collection of antique cocktail glasses.

High cotton count linens and bedding all provided. If the garden is going, you are welcome to any veggies that happen to be harvestable.

Also enjoy a bonfire outside and feel free to use some of the chopped wood on property.

Halfway between Poughkeepsie and New Paltz, with Kingston also a short drive, guests have countless options for excitement and adventure should they need a break from the serenity and quiet of the property.

We've got exceptional rock climbing in the nearby Shawangunk. Beautiful hiking at Mohonk & Minnewaska State Parks. Ski resorts Hunter & Windham are a 40 min drive. Or walk across the Hudson river at the Walkway over the Hudson.

Or spend the afternoon sipping cider at the nearby Twin Star Orchards. A 5 min drive from the property, they often have live music and BBQs at weekends during the summer.
