The Stocking Mill is a real gem of a place to stay. This former 19th Century Mill has been lovingly transformed into a boutique cottage with lots of nods to its former history as a working Stocking Mill.

Nestled in the village of Ashford in the Water on a quiet street, it's the perfect base for exploring the Peak District. A shop, a great pub, a cafe, and an excellent restaurant are all located in the village.

We can accept up to 1 x dog, an additional fee of £30.00 per dog is payable.

The space
The Stocking Mill is a unique little cottage with lots of original features paying homage to its history. (The little recess in the living room used to be where the workers collected their wages!)

Renovated into a quirky yet cleverly designed cottage with bags of charm, fun and fresh interiors all finished with little luxury touches throughout.

The Stocking Mill features the following home comforts:

- 2 Individually styled double bedrooms. The master bedroom with a fixed king-sized double bed is spacious and serene with a cosy window seat and ample space to store your belongings. The second bedroom on the second floor has a fixed double bed. This cosy and warm room is richer in colour and makes the best use of space with its quirky roller door.
- Family-sized shared bathroom on the first floor is spacious and features a bath, separate walk-in shower, washbasin and WC.
- Downstairs you have a stunning living room with plush sofas, an impressive stone fireplace with working log burner (perfect for winter breaks). TV (with Sky) and DVD player. Dining space is provided in the lounge with a rather nifty drop leaf dining table that comfortably seats 4 people.
- Through into the kitchen you will find a modern and fully equipped space with everything you need to cook to your hearts content. With a contemporary slate grey finish and gleaming work tops, the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, an abundance of cookware, pots and pans, microwave and crockery/utensils/glassware.
Outside there is a shared courtyard with a table and two chairs. The courtyard provides access to the washer/dryer in the outhouse opposite.
There is also a BBQ which is available for use from 01st April through to 31st October, please supply your own charcoal and lighting equipment.
