Mountain Hikes and Island Walks
Walking is the best way to explore St Helena Island. Take a picnic and stop to eat at one of the historical sites or beautiful lookout points. Enjoy one of the 21 Post Box walks devised by the St Helena Nature Conservation Group and explore various terrains and micro-climates.
Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
Scuba diving and snorkeling are possible all year round in the pristine and warm waters surrounding St Helena Island. The marine life is diverse, with many endemic species including the Whale Shark and Chilean Devil Rays. Guests must be accompanied by a local diver, and there are PADI Dive instructors on the island.
Fishing & Swimming
There are various fishing spots around the island, all offering different fishing conditions. Visitors can enjoy tranquil days fishing from the rocky ocean edges along the coastline, or go deep sea fishing to catch a variety of fish including Barracuda, Tuna, and Conger eel. Swimming is possible all round the island, and lots of fun and relaxation can be enjoyed at Sandy Bay beach.
