This 1 bedroom apartment is spacious and quiet. It has an open kitchen & living room layout. The bedroom's focal point is the comfy queen bed & stunning repurposed back wall. And if you need to relax after your day out hop into the big tub, sip on some tea that previous guests have gifted to make your stay better!
If you are looking for a restful place to lay your feet after a day of exploring Denver this 1-bedroom is it. It easily fits 2 people but does have couch that one more person can crash on.
The walking score is over 90, meaning everything you need (like groceries, amenities, bars, parks, etc) is within walking distance. In addition, everything you want to see (like the Art Museum, Botanic Gardens, multiple parks, bars, and restaurants) are biking distance or easily accessible with Lyft (here's a code to get some free Lyfts if you don't have the app already: (URL HIDDEN) Denver has 300 days of sunshine and this apartment and location are the perfect place to enjoy it.
There is 1-dedicated off-street parking that comes with the unit.
Note, I do have a dog that lives here when I'm home. She sheds a decent amount and I do my best to regularly get her hair off the floors and furniture but, for some, the few straggler hairs might be bothersome. I do hire cleaners before your visit to do a thorough cleaning.
The entire house is ready and open for your visit.
Interaction with guests
I'm usually traveling when I rent the place out. Keys are left for you to check-in and out and I'm available by email/text if you need anything. I hire a professional cleaner to clean and wash sheets before every visit as well.
Other things to note
I will leave out my Botanic Gardens pass for you which will get you and up to 5 other friends into the Gardens for free.
Also, again, this house is purposefully marked below market rate as I am a practitioner of gift economy. That means I don't make a profit, I charge just what I need to pay for the house itself. I ask that guests take a look around and pay forward that discount so that the next guest can have a just as good or an even better stay.
Welcome! Although this is a 1-bedroom apartment I consider it a community home. When I am here I typically host couchsurfers, when I'm traveling I host people from Airbnb. I also never charge more than what I need, meaning, by design, I don't make a profit. If for any reason I do make a profit I gift that money back to the house on something that will benefit future guests, like a nice warm blanket for winter or treats for your arrival. 80% of the house contents are recycled, repurposed or gifts from prior guests. Also, all the products, like the soaps, are made in Colorado by friends. Because of this I ask each guest to take a look around and gift something they think the house needs or will make the next guests stay that much nicer, it's like a pay-it-foward chain. Gifts have been as sweet as a note, to a candle, to wine, to even a Costco membership!
Some reminders of rules:
-No smoking cigarettes at all and keep pot to a minimum (there's plenty of places to smoke it outside here)
-Quiet hours 10pm-8am
-Take off your shoes in the entryway please

A broad thinker with a knack for putting ideas into action. Some call this a change maker, I call it a dream maker. Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 13 years with brief stints in Guatemala, Ecuador, and at the moment Colorado where I run an organizations called Dream Walks and co-own the Walk2Connect Cooperative.
