Enjoy beautiful sunsets and mountain views from your private deck off this spacious and well-lit one bedroom apartment that is within walking distance of downtown Hardwick, with direct access to ski, hiking and mountain bike trails. Just a 10 minute drive from Circus Smirkus and Highland Center for the Arts, 15 minutes from Hill Farmstead, and 20 minutes from Craftsbury Outdoor Center. (30 minutes from Stowe)
Flexible accommodations for 2-5 guests with lots of space and sunlight, and a fully stocked kitchen. The apartment feels very private but is only minutes from groceries, gas and restaurants downtown.
Fully stocked with linens, towels, toiletries and kitchen supplies, including a range of condiments and an unlimited supply of our very own wood-fired, organic maple syrup, made on site! (also available for sale at local farm prices)
Interaction with guests
We strive to be available if/when you need us, and aim to preserve your privacy otherwise. We're a busy family but generally home evenings, and enjoy meeting our guests. We have a shared mudroom entrance so may see you coming and going some as well.
Other things to note
We have 2 cats (indoor/outdoor) who have been known to get into the apartment, so this space may not be ideal for those with significant cat allergies. We also occasionally have (well-behaved) dogs in the apartment.
The usual; no smoking, don't trash the place, have fun, leave it reasonably clean! (no pets, rare exceptions may be considered)

I am a rural family physician married to a maple sugarmaker who's lived and worked in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom for the past 10 years. I love the strong sense of community of the greater Hardwick area, and have celebrated the increasing recognition of the area as a hotspot of agricultural related activities. It doesn't hurt that we have some of the best bread, cheese, beer and spirits you'll find anywhere, all within a 7 mile radius. This is a beautiful part of a gorgeous state, with recreational opportunities galore, and I try to take advantage of as many of these as possible, including biking, hiking and skiing.
Spring time (also known as mud season around here) finds our family consumed by sugaring, and a good year will net us 1,000 gallons of the sweet stuff.
We're new to AirBNB, but since we have extra space (an entire apartment over the garage) and our area lacks adequate lodging, we figured we'd try being hosts. We look forward to helping more folks discover all the great things about this area!
