Where the River Meets the Bay
Huron Lake across the street from front of house and the Tawas River in the back yard. Great location for families, couples and fisherman. Boat launch across the street and also behind the house. Gateway park is also located right across the street. The farmers market is held here on Saturday mornings all summer long. Designated beach within walking distance but many people swim right across the street. You can see the Tawas Point light house from the front yard.

The space
Also close to Tawas Point State Park, Lumbermans monument, Iargo Springs, Ausable River, downtown shopping and restaurants, bike and kayak rental. On a clear night you can see the lights from the windmills in the thumb. Main house sleeps 7 but if you need more space, we also have a cabin on property that sleeps 6 more. The house and cabin can be rented together. See additional listing for this option. The cabin cannot be rented alone.

Where you’ll be

Tawas City, Michigan, United States

Nice neighbors. Located on US 23. Great BBQ down the street that you can walk, drive, boat or kayak to. Neimans grocery store has the best donuts and bagels. We have a large dock for your boat. The water is high right now so check with us for heights that will make it under the bridge to the big water. Also train goes through at least once a night behind the house and their whistle may wake you up. During the day you can watch it pass from the back yard.
