Located in a cool and peaceful mountain environment, we are only a 15 minute drive to the famous Playa Avellanas and 30 minutes from downtown Tamarindo.
The accommodation Casa Avalon is designed for coexistence. The layout of the rooms allows for different family settings:
•Bedroom 1: Queen bed, 1 bunk bed
•Bedroom 2: 1 king bed, 1 twin bed
•Bedroom 3: 2 single beds

When you book, your group will have exclusive use of the entire main house and the large private terrace. What's more, they'll have access to the exceptional common areas of Pinilla Highlands, shared only with three other villas in the development:
• Semi-Olympic pool: Large enough to swim, exercise or simply relax.
• Dipping pool and jacuzzi: (The jacuzzi requires prior booking to guarantee cleanliness and exclusivity).
• Relaxation areas: Hammocks and sun loungers surrounded by gardens where it's common to spot Congo monkeys.
• Ample free parking on the premises.

To ensure a seamless and transparent experience, please note:
• Rural Immersion and Access: To reach our mountain paradise, you have to travel along gravel roads (dirt and stone) with some slopes, typical of Guanacaste. We strongly recommend the use of a high vehicle (SUV or 4x4) for your comfort and safety. Low-suspension saloon cars may have difficulties.
• Family atmosphere: Casa Avalon is ideal for family retreats and groups looking for rest and connection with nature. If your group is looking for a vibrant party atmosphere, downtown Tamarindo might be a better option.
• Cleaning service: The base of our excellent cleaning team is on the first floor of the property, so they'll always be close by and available to quickly assist you with any needs.

Pinilla Highlands is a quiet and relaxing Hilltop behind surf mecca Playa Avellanas and playa Langosta which are 15 minutes down the hill. You can enjoy Costa Rica countryside as we have plenty if trails to hike or do Mountain bike. If you like fun and restaurants, the bustling town of Tamarindo is only 30 minutes north. Our next door neighbors Hacienda Pinilla offers world class golfing.
