A newly refurnished and restored romantic rooftop apartment in the city center of Torino, a three minute walk from the main train station (train to EXPO15 takes 33 minutes), underground and Turin airport bus station.

The space

“Tiptop Torino” is a newly refurnished and restored rooftop apartment located in the city center of Torino, a three minute walk from the main train station (Porta Nuova), from the Re Umberto under-ground station and from the Turin airport bus terminal. Built in 1873 as a convent, it now hosts typical "ringhiera" houses. In the communal yard or “cortile” of the building there is a beautiful, yet typical, black and white cobble stone paving with a fantastic Medlar tree in the middle. The building also has a two-floor cellar system, used in the past to preserve ice and wine.
There is a splendid view of the Alps and of the Hills surrounding Torino.
There is an open space sitting room with a kitchen area equipped with oven, fridge, freezer, dish-washer and washing machine, a queen size pull-out bed and TV. This open space has a door leading to a backyard-balcony. An “attic roof” bedroom comes equipped with a queen size bed, a wardrobe, a desk and door leading to a little romantic balcony with a view of the hills. Separately, you will find the bathroom with its own window, shower and bidet. There is also a little storage room.

We stayed at Paola's place for a couple of days and it was just perfect. The flat is great and very pretty. I felt in love with the balcony where you can see the roofs...such a nice view. It's well located: very close to the center and even closer to the main station. Really recommended ;)

We are so pleased we booked this wonderful apartment - it was by far the best accommodation throughout our travels in Italy. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the apartment is, a mix of old and new, the bed was incredible comfortable and we slept very well. The music player meant we could play music from our phone, and were able to enjoy the sunshine from the morning to evening on the two balconies either side of the apartment. The sun hits the bigger balcony off the kitchen in the evening, meaning we enjoyed our meals and wine in the last of the evening sun. The apartment is very high spec and aesthetically pleasing, it's newly refurbished and it's been done very well. We will undoubtedly stay here again next year. Thank you Paola for a perfect stay!

The stay in Paola's place was absolutely great! I stayed there with my girlfriend for two months and we enjoyed not just the apartment, but also the location and hospitality of the owner. The flat is very clean and there is all the necessary equipment. Highly recommended!

Although we did not get to meet Paola, she made contact well ahead to advise she would be away and who would greet us, and she was contactable during our stay. She was pleasant and helpful in her communication. The apartment was stylish, nicely decorated, comfortable, clean, well equipped and had everything we needed. Paola has good attention to detail in all regards and is a very thoughtful and organised host. For example there was a coffee pot, ground coffee, condiments provided plus welcome chocolates and wine. It is a compact space, but the layout works well. It is well lit all day due to being up high with windows at both ends, with lovely views across to the hills. Two little balconies outside each window. The neighborhood was residential and quiet. We were there during the holidays so not everything nearby was open. We were was just a short bike or tram ride to the city centre. Conveniently close to main train station. Easy access to public transport. Little supermarket very close by and bars etc. As we were already aware before we booked, you have to walk up four flights of stairs, the last bit very steep and no platform at the front door, so this might not suit some people. While we were there it was very hot weather and the apartment got very warm. Paola had thoughtfully provided two excellent fans that we needed to use most of the time including during the night.

Fantastic apartment in a great, quiet location! Close to anything you could need - public transport, food, drink, groceries, gelati; all within walking distance. The apartment is very well furnished and beautifully decorated, and boasts peaceful views from both balconies. For those who have difficulty walking, there are no elevators in the building and the apartment is on the top level after five flights of stairs. There isn't air conditioning in the apartment, but there are fans, so if you're planning on staying in summer, I recommend stopping by the Ottimo gelateria often! However these are just very minor downsides to what is a fantastic apartment with great value. Paola was a great host, she has thought of basically everything, leaving no detail about the apartment unmentioned! Communication was a breeze, Paola was very helpful and answered any question we had super quick. I would not hesitate to book this place again!

I like reading, singing (I am part of a Gospel Choir) and traveling to know new places, costumes and habits. I like to do sports and eat good, fresh, typical food too. I am fascinated by architecture and design. I'm married to Federico (that thinks to be the perfect husband,) and we have two marvellous daughters, Beatrice and Margherita. We live in Torino, in the city center very close to the Tiptop apartment. We chose a flat here because we consider this area one of the best of the city. We restored TipTop as our dream-house and we want to share these emotions with our guests from all over the world, and make them feel at home.
