PLEASE NOTE:

The exterior of our home has been left "as-is" to better fit in with the rest of the block, so you will find that it truly is a "hidden gem" :-)

There may be some noise on weekend nights as there is a bodega across the street from us and the Gypsy Parlor bar is at the end of our block.

The Grant/Niagara neighborhood is an emerging hotspot in Buffalo. There is a strong multi-cultural presence here which makes for amazing food options if you're an adventurous eater!

Where you’ll be

Buffalo, New York, United States

I truly think Grant/Niagara is the most interesting and diverse neighborhood in the city. Like most of Buffalo, this is an inner-city neighborhood (but in my opinion, perfectly safe). There may be some people making noise at night at the bodega or at the bar down the street.

We are walking distance to several popular Buffalo institutions including Sweetness 7 cafe, La Nova pizza and my personal favorite, the West Side Bazaar, ( a refugee-run dining hall with food stands from around the world).

Spend a rainy (or snowy) day at Gather&Game board gaming space, Flippin Comics or Rust Belts Books. You can find unique gifts at the Globe market, Black Dots record store, Paloma Consignment or I AM MAGICK. New indie-owned businesses and restaurants are popping up all the time on Grant and Niagara street.

If you're an adventurous eater you are in the right location. I am always happy to give recommendations!

Hi, I'm Anneliese! I grew up in Buffalo but have lived and worked around the world including California, Argentina and Mexico. In 2016 I moved back to Buffalo to buy a fixer upper which I spent two years (!) renovating with my partner, Harry. My home was a labor of love and I hope you will love it as much as we do! We also enjoy staying in Airbnbs when we do our own traveling. Some of my favorite things: Hiking, coastal cities, old houses, interior design, road trips, discovering little towns, Whippets (especially ours), tropical weather, old films, trashy reality television and scouring Yelp for new restaurants. Some of my favorite places to visit: New Orleans, Chiang Mai, Kingston NY, Mexico City, Nicaragua, California, Rio de Janeiro and many more. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or just want to say hello. Hope to meet you soon!
