The space
Hit the slopes with ease at this aeronautically-inspired chalet J44 from the main gondola in the heart of Tignes’ Black Diamond Resort. After a day exploring 300km of world-class pistes in Val D’Isere, head back home to warm up in the sauna or unwind in the steam room. Once you’re rejuvenated, walk into the quaint village to enjoy a vin chaud or genepe.

Equal parts modern and traditional, Chalet Charlie shows off everything for which the Alps are known. Warm woods, soaring mountain views, and starlit nights in the hot tub mix with cutting edge architecture, designer furnishings, and the integration of a 1950’s Nord Noratlas aircraft. Sit for family dinners around a dining table made from the wheel. Later, try out the flight simulator. During your stay, choose from 3-levels of service, self-catered, bed and breakfast, or catered. The latter invites the Alps finest chefs to take care of 2 meals a day, and much more. After a delicious dinner, sip local wine while the kids play in the playroom constructed from the plane’s fuselage.

Ski lessons, in-house massage and spa treatments, helicopter tours, and more, all can be booked through Black Diamond’s managers and experience teams. When you feel like hitting the town, you’ll find vibrant nightlife in Val Claret and Le Lac; both villages have bustling night clubs with live music and international DJs making appearances throughout the year.
