Isella is a lovely old small village. When you wake up you see Monterosa from your bed. It is very very quiet and very very clean. Beto was traveling when we stayed in his house but his sister and especially mother took such a loving care of us which can rarely be found elsewhere... I don't mean hotels, I am comparing to B&B's. They gave us all indications where to eat and what to do. I loved the interior of the house!!! It combines REAL care for the comfort of the guests with modern conveniences like Jacuzzi bath and the feel of the old house. All the furniture is solid wood, the floor is made from heavy solid wood, bathroom is colorful, big and clean, with sauna. Everything inside is made with thoughtful care. There is enough space to store your clothes and luggage etc. Grill available. Very good breakfast with fresh cake and home-made jams of many sorts, welcome plate of fruits. You have access to the garden and can gaze endlessly to Monte Rosa or stars at night... We were happy to stay more than one night but longer stay would be much better. The hike to Rifugio Zamboni was tremendous. We immediately started making plans about coming back :-) Thank you!
