The space
Located 200 yards from Wrights lake, at the base of Chalk Cliffs, 2 miles above Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, just off the Colorado Trail on the way to
historic ghost town St. Elmo

This is a "Pay it Forward" cabin, I did my part you do yours, "Thank You"

This cabin is 'The Wild Hare' approximately 650 sq. ft. with a loft with a queen futon and a bedroom downstairs with a double bed. It has its own bathroom ( seasonal , read below) with an antique cast iron tub and shower. The living area has a sofa love seat couch that does not fold out and is not made for sleeping on, as it is only 50 inches long. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster , pots and pans along with cooking and eating utensils.

If you want to bring a pet, you possibly can convince me it is a life companion. I will allow pets in this cabin as the others but do not leave them alone or you will lose your deposit.

Cabin price based on 2 people all extra guests and pets are $10 more per night. Make sure you verify all before arrival. This is your home and others in the mountains, surprises are good but not the type that is to sneak one over on Jeff or the other guests on the property. Like you tell me one pet and got 5 , or one guest and I arrive to find a tent and a camper. Thank You,,All and Jeff

If you bring extra guests (people or pets) and did not include when booking it is best you inform Jeff immediately and /or use the drop box on the property located at Jeff's house. If you do not inform Jeff/use the drop box , you will be charged double when leave. This will come out of your damage deposit. That is $20 per night for each and not $10. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. (OR) you will lose your deposit. I am tired of people not the pets trying to get over on me and me letting it happen. It took two many years to fix these places up, never getting paid and now, I just wanted to be treated as I ask. Thank You Jeff and all honest guests!

The peace fullness of Bunnylane Cabins area, the 5 minute walk to the lake, cabins that overlooks the beaver ponds, outside fire pits, gas grill and much more.

'LEAVE AS FOUND OR BETTER'
THIS IS YOUR HOME AND OTHERS' IN THE MOUNTAINS.

WOOD BOX IS FULL AND READY FOR NEXT GUEST.
Make sure the wood is the type that is dry, and small to medium-sized so those who arrive next can easily start the fire.

THE DISHES ARE CLEAN AND PUT AWAY, AND THE COUNTERS LEFT CLEAN,

FLOORS ARE CLEAN AND ALL RUGS HAVE BEEN SHAKEN OUT AND PUT BACK AS FOUND.
If the floor is wood then sweep, there are brooms and dust pans for you to use. If the floor is carpet then use the vacuum.

ALL GARBAGE HAULED OFF, IF DUMPSTER AVAILABLE THEN PUT IN IT.
From May to October there will be dumpster on the property.

I do have internet upon request, I want people to spend time together not by texting but by bonding as the old days. I will give you the password but I do not want down loading movies or streaming music, it will slow or shut down from overuse, business only.

COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED. I CANNOT CONTROL EVERYTHING, AS I LEAVE THAT UP TO EACH OF MY GUESTS

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! IT IS NICE TO SHARE MY PLACE WITH OTHERS.

This is a seasonal cabin yet rented most all the year when I am around. I do shut the water off from around October 30 to May 1.. People still rent at a reduced price. Make sure you understand this as there is a bathhouse on the Cottontail cabin that can be used and also an outhouse about 30 yards away.
There is firewood for inside use on the property, please leave ready for next guest.
This is the time of year you get to bring firewood/get from local stores or play mountain man and gather from the woods. Have fun

Off-season 'Winter' is when water is shut off to the cabin
This is from Approx. Oct. 15/Nov. 1 to Approx. May 1, verify if concerned
When water is shut off the price go to winter or off season rates.
If the water has been shut off to the cabin verify water is still on at the Bathhouse that is attached to the Cottontail.

You can still rent the cabins and go to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs only 5 minutes away (1.5 miles) down the valley for soaking and swimming.
There is an outhouse on the property ( see property layout on Bunnylane Cabins Web page)
For Water, there is a well on the property, but I suggest you bring a few gallons of drinking water, if you do not like well water. The well is shown on the property layout.

About Me Life is what you make of it, I understand that I have been off the beaten path in many ways, from where I live to where I have worked, traveled, explored but it is the way it has been. I have worked around the mainland USA and the Hawaiian islands, in Micronesia, the Aleutians and other islands around the globe. Traveled to Russia, Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Philippines, New Zealand and other spots far and near. I have couch surfed, hitch hiked, back paced around this planet. Worked with many cultures and have always realized it is not about the money but doing a good job and being appreciated and respected by others. "More later" I like fixing things, hiking, snowmobiling, beach combing, exploring, travel, good food, cooking on the deck with friends old and new,, I have adventured around much of the planet yet find myself wondering what next. To share life and adventures, relaxing moments, conversations and the unknown, sounds like a plan. I was born a carpenter, wanted to be a mechanic, ended up an electrician and now hospitality. I like all music that lifts the soul or gets you where you want to be without having to get on a plane, train or automobile, yet, travel has been a big part of my life, both work and fun but always an adventure. cheers to all Have a great day and more
