The Hideaway provides superb accommodation for up to four people - a two bedroom split level apartment within a Victorian townhouse only a couple of minutes' walk from Broadstairs town centre, pubs, cafes, shops, restaurants and beaches.
The Hideaway is a two bedroom apartment within a Victorian townhouse, with many original features, arranged over two floors. The living room, fully fitted kitchen/diner and bathroom are on the ground floor, with double and twin bedrooms and a separate WC on the first floor. The property has a small walled courtyard to the rear, in addition to the use of an extensive and beautifully maintained private garden for residents' use only. The garden is situated opposite the apartment, on the other side of the road, so not actually joined to the apartment, and is accessed by a locked gate. The garden offers ample space for children to play as a perfect alternative to the beach, or for a family barbecue after a busy day. The garden is shared by all residents of Devonshire Terrace, but please do not allow children to play on the paved area beyond the flowerbed, in front of the Garden House, as this is the only area that is privately owned.
Guests will find that the Hideaway lives up to its name, a haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of historic Broadstairs - a few minutes' walk from beaches, shops, restaurants and cafes. The Hideaway is comfortable and cosy, with TV/DVD in the sitting room and both bedrooms, with Wi-Fi access.
Interaction with guests
I live in Broadstairs, but five minutes drive away, so although I'm on hand in case you need me, I'll leave you in peace until you do. If you would like me to meet you on arrival, let me know as I am happy to do so if possible.
Other things to note
There is some on-street parking outside the apartment, though we cannot guarantee you a space. There's a large pay and display car park a minute's walk away, and unrestricted free parking on neighbouring streets.
Unfortunately we don't allow any pets on the property and the Hideaway is a no smoking property, although smoking is fine in the courtyard. When you leave the private garden, please lock the gates behind you to keep the garden secure. Breakages are inevitable, and we won't mind at all, but please let us know if you do break anything so that we can replace it.

Hi, I'm Clare, and the owner/manager of the Hideaway. I moved to Broadstairs from East London in 2007 with my husband and two daughters, in search of a simpler, healthier life. The Hideaway followed in 2010, and is a full-time holiday apartment. We live near enough to be on hand if you have a crisis, but far enough away to allow you total privacy!
