Head the other way to go to Padre Island. Perfect for visiting hospital and medical staff. This is a cozy, private bungalow apartment, just perfect for a single person or couple, located in a historic quiet neighborhood. Entire guesthouse with private entrance, full bath, one bedroom, and living area, including a small kitchenette.

The space
Our home was one of the first built in the neighborhood in 1936. It was built by my aunt, who sold it to us. The bungalow was converted it to an apartment to use it as needed space for our children when they became teens. Later we used it as an office, then as a guest house.

Our neighborhood is one of the oldest well preserved neighborhoods in Corpus Christi. The home are all unique and individual in style. It's a quiet neighborhood and safe to take a nice walk down to the Bay. Sunrises are beautiful from the Corpus Christi Bay and if you walk from the home to the bay, it's only 2 1/2 blocks. Take the path around the park and return and the entire walk is about 3 miles.

Larry Overton is a local musician and has performed for years in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend. Beth is a Certified Professional Midwife and owns the Corpus Christi Birth Center.

Larry and Beth's home in located in one of Corpus Christi's most historic and quiet neighborhoods. Their home includes a small apartment in the backyard, which they appropriately named "Bunglaow by the Bay" because it only a short walk to the Corpus Christi Bay and beautiful Cole Park.

Both Larry and Beth love to show hospitality. Beth's artistic contribution is evident by the warm and welcoming decor both inside and outside the Bungalow. Larry's musical contribution is an extra special treat for guests who choose to add an outdoor concert to their stay (optional).

Larry and Beth also love to travel. They especially enjoy camping with their best friend and pet beagle/spaniel mixnamed Bella.

Larry and Beth are high school sweethearts, who have been happily married for 47 years. They are proud parents of three grown children. Those children have blessed them with a total 19 grandchildren!

My husband and I are a quiet retired couple and live in the main house. We will respect your privacy but when home, we are also are available to visit or help with anything you might need. When you arrive, you may go straight to the bungalow. No need to check in with us first. We will unlock the bunglow right before we expect you to arrive. An extra key is inside for you to use.
