If you don't want to rent a car, download the UBER or LYFT app on your phone. Inexpensive and possibly the most relaxing and easiest way to get around the city - especially if you share the cost with others! It might even be less than the cost and headache of renting a car in a city you don't know.
There is a car rental agency on our corner if you decide to use a car.
There are public buses on every corner.
Other things to note

We are in our 8th year of hosting guests and we love it. We enjoy traveling, cycling, music, theater, literature, dance, cooking, taking our doggies for walks at the beach and in the hills and much more!
We were born in Los Angeles and are happy to give you suggestions of how and where to go to get to know this enormous place.
We travel a lot so we know how important it is to have a clean, comfortable, safe & central place to stay - a home away from home.
Our daughter is also here to greet you. She studies and works so she isn't home very much. Our two little dogs will be very happy to meet you too.

If you don't make it to the top of the mountain, you won't see the other side.
