The Martyrs Inn is a great pub serving good food just a minutes walk up the road.

5 minutes down the road you will reach Puddletown where you will find The Blue Vinney pub, named after the famous Dorset blue cheese. There is also a Grocery store and post office in the village.

We can also recommend The Wise Man pub in West Stafford which is less than 15 minutes drive.

My husband and I recently moved to this charming village having sold a hotel not too far away. Such is our joy in entertaining guests, we decided to do something on a much smaller scale! We’ve bought a several hundred year old thatched cottage which will certainly keep us busy for the foreseeable future. Tolpuddle Hideaway is a detached cottage in our garden. We have 3 grown up children who have fled the nest but we do see them often which is lovely. We look forward to welcoming you!
