We loved staying at this cabin. It was very clean and cozy and the kitchen was set up with everything you might need. The fact that even the knifes were sharp was awesome! Super close to the grocery store and couple local spots to eat. The beach is not a sandy one but my kids di…

Had a fantastic time despite the weather. Plenty to do indoors at the house and then other trips to make to other towns are easy enough for exploration. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Was a little tight between 4 adults and 1 bathroom but workable. Washer/dryer was super con…

I loved the beachy-cottage theme of the cabin. It was cozy yet enough space for 6 adults and 3 kids. We visited during the end of May so the water was really high but we were still able to get great use of the property. Would definitely come back!

Great place. Fantastic location! Private, spacious but easy to get to the local shop or restaurant. A big variety of things to do at the cabin. Everything what you might need is there for you. Will be back for sure.

We rented the house for one night as a stop-over to see the salmon run at Adams Lake at the end of October. Emma was extremely responsive in the whole booking process. We paid an additional $100 in cleaning fees for booking less than 2 nights. We arrived around 9pm and the dri…

Response from Emma:
Hi Sandy, Thank you for your accurate review. We understand that the cleaning fee can be frustrating for some people, however, in order for the house to be ready and available for other guests, we have to hire a cleaning contractor, it's not perfect, but it must be done or the place would never be available. We wanted to thank you for comments, as we too, as new owners of the property, also found ourselves to be in agreement with them. I wanted to let you know that we have since made some improvements to the property. 1 - We have installed solar powered lighting at the drive way entrance to make it easier to see the house numbers and the drive. One of the joys of Blind Bay is there are no street lights, which add to the natural beauty of the place! 2 - We have now installed WIFI which is working well. We have tried to hook up satellite, however, the tall trees at the front block the receiver and we like the trees more than TV, so we will still not be able to offer cable. Guests are welcome to utilize the free WIFI and stream Netflix or iTunes instead. 3 - We agreed with the updating of the kitchen, bathroom and third bedroom. For the bedroom, we disposed of the carpet and installed fresh new carpet. We are also in the process of finishing up the walls in this bedroom. This is something we inherited when we purchased the house and are now a lot happier with the end result. We have also changed out the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, and updated the tiling around the tub. I will post some pictures soon if you are interested in seeing the upgrades :) 4 - As for the heating, - we live some distance away which unfortunately means when people arrive in the non-summer months, the rooms can be cooler. The gas fireplace does tend to heat up the entire house very quickly along with the heating system installed. That said, we too would like to improve on this issue, and have since purchased a WIFI-enabled thermostat for the house. This is a great opportunity, as we will be able to turn on the heating from anywhere. This is to be installed very soon and we are really excited about it! We agree with everything you mentioned and we appreciate your comments. We also agree that the view of the lake and surrounding mountains are great - we LOVE it. Thank you again Sandy and I hope that you are able to come visit the place in the summer and experience all the area and Shuswap has to offer! Take care, Emma
