Come relax in the hot tub or by the patio fire (bring firewood) and visit nearby attractions! Enjoy nearby fishing, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, golfing, or relaxing.

Our 350sqft basement apt is good for couples and adventurers. Funky and bright, this MCM apartment is set up with personal touches of our sustainable and chemical-free 33-acre farm and home, original artwork, and our love for homesteading and the outdoors. Ask about early check-in.

The space
You'll enjoy original artwork, vintage (useful!) kitchen gadgets, farm foods, and a shelf of alright movies to watch (grab a Redbox or two on your way!), games to play, and good books to flip through.

We'll have some basic food items for you to start your fun: fresh eggs in the fridge & real maple syrup. Pantry items include local raw honey, flour, sugar, coffee, farm-blended teas. We'll stock your space with a these mentioned good nutritious and tasty foods that our farm enjoys and offers to others, but if you're staying a while you will need to acquire more! Fresh herbs line your stairway for your enjoyment both for your sniffer & your dinner!

Safety concerns restrict us to host others' animals. Also note that autumn & winter bring box beetles and cobwebs quicker than we can knock 'em down. Cleanliness is our priority, as is actively farming, being near nature, and doing projects - thanks for being gracious about imperfections!

***A note about AirBnB's "Covid-Cleanliness Policies": We are happy to welcome guests to our farm as often as allowed. We will do our best to limit interaction with our guests, but because we live on a working and educational farm that purposes to share life and hospitality, it is not entirely avoidable.

Also, because our primary goal is that you have a worry-free place to stay, we have prided ourselves on excellent cleanliness as well. These new policies have not changed that. We are happy with the "Stay Alert" philosophy and will continue to use common sense practices. We trust and assume guests considering using and reserving through Airbnb with shared spaces (and quirky; in our case older and farmesque - ie. imperfect) share the same philosophies and respect these things. Thanks for sharing this adventuring with us!

Farmers-at-heart, we also enjoy the benefits being near the big city. We are committed to living edgy; incorporating the new, while still preserving the old ways of life while raising a family on our active homestead as naturally as possible. We share much of our endeavors (and life!) locally and afar, from farm goods to workshops, activities and events. We love adventures and creative thinking so always have something going on! Our apartment & skoolie has been a great educational project for our family, constructing and learning together. Now we start the next phase, where the kids have set a budget and goals. Thanks for encouraging and supporting them in this endeavor! Being a homeschool and active family, we tend to be pretty hands-off with our guests unless they need something specific. Feel free to check in with us (we also love meeting folks!), but know your space should be pretty self-sufficient as well!

During your stay

We keep a fairly open home and are a busy family and farm - so we’ll anticipate being pretty hands-off unless something is needed, in which case, we work from home and are fairly available.
