The cottage is private but in the heart of the estate where you might come across estate staff going about their work. A stone throw from the walled garden and it sits above the Findhorn - where you can hear the sound of the river tumbling through the gorge. Access to lovely walks through the woods and by the river from your doorstep. Someone is usually in Glenferness house to help if needed.

Traditional stone cottage built in the 1840's. The accommodation is spread over 2 floors and comprises one double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom. The sitting room has an open fire and a TV, DVD player and WiFi. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer and a table that seats 6. Phone signal is limited but there is a landline if needed. Parking for two cars.

We are perched above the river Findhorn surrounded by impressive caledonian woodland on the edge of the Dava moor which gives a sense of peace and tranquillity. It is exceptionally private a mile away from the main road. Closest cafe is a 10 min drive to Logie Steading. Lochindorb castle is a 5/10 mins drive away and Dulsie bridge on the old military road which crosses the Findhorn is 5/10mins away. Also on the estate is the Princess stone, a pictish stone dating back to 1010.
