About this listing
Hear the waves lapping on the beach from your room in our beautiful home on the Black Isle, in the historic town of Cromarty. This clean, newly refurbished room and fresh new, shared bathroom next door is perfect for a relaxing Highland get away.
We pride ourselves on providing an authentic relaxing environment for our guests in this quiet little seaside town. This stone built house was the head coastguards' home and has a great view across the Cromarty Firth. The room is comfortable for two people with a queen size bed and plenty of wardrobe space.
Guests will have access to a newly refurbished bathroom with shower and toilet situated next to the bedroom. The room is privately situated on the third floor.
Interaction with guests
I have lived and worked across the Highlands and I am quite happy to help you design your perfect stay in this beautiful area. My husband and I live in the house and will be on hand to help make your stay welcome. We will serve you the breakfast you desire at a suitable time.
I love to sit and watch the sea changing every day. I see the fishermen coming in with their catches. I see tourists passing and taking pictures of my view everyday. I live in a very peaceful beautiful setting.
Public transport is limited in the Highlands and it is best if you drive. If you do not want to drive I am happy to pick you up from the train, bus or airport for an additional fee by arrangement.
Other things to note
We are open to providing additional evening meals, some salsa tuition or even a musical experience if you play an instrument! I am also into health and wellbeing and can offer some stress free instruction or a wellness course to compliment your Highland experience.
We do not allow smoking in any part of the house or garden. We have two cats who are confined to their own area away from guests, but we do not allow guest pets.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund, including service fees.

I am a keen dancer and netball player in my spare time. I love to watch the water from my house and I run health and wellbeing courses through my organisation, SaluVida.
I live here with my husband Campbell, a keen musician, writer and artist. We occasionally have one or other of our six children visiting. We have explored many corners of the Highlands of Scotland and I am sure I can help you gain the most from your visit. We own two lovely friendly cats called appropriately Mambo and Cha Cha!
I like thriller movies and the costume drama series especially the British ones. As a host I like to ensure you have a great time visiting places of interest. I am happy to collect you from the airport for a fee if you are not driving, although this is not recommended for this remote and rural part of Scotland.
My life motto is 'all things in moderation'.
