Jilling terraces is an experience best enjoyed if you particularly like a quite get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The caretakers dilip, his wife and their team will do everything to make you feel at home. Stay in one of the rooms on the first floor for a better view and waking up to that perfect morning setting.

If you are looking for a steep trek with an extremely satisfying experience at the end then this is one of the finest locations you will find in these parts of the country. Location, house, warmth, food and crisp fresh air are top quality by any standard, full marks to the owner and Dilip and team. Will be back for sure. Thanks.

We had a fantastic time! The property is ideal for getting away from the routine. The trek at the start can get overwhelming due to the incline so booking horses is a good idea if you're not ok with an intense climb. The views are breathtaking to say the least and you can spend hours just soaking in the experience. The hosts were very warm and accommodative and the home cooked food was delicious. My better half even carried some local chutney back with her. We can't wait to be back soon. Thanks!

When I first saw photos of Jilling terrace I just wanted to get there as soon as possible. But what I found there was much more beautiful than I could imagine! We reached Mattial by car in the afternoon & found Dilip(Manager) waiting for us with a horse to carry our luggage to the hill top. We started our trekking through rough yet beautiful trails. More we climbed up the hill more we got mesmerised with the scenic beauty of mountains and steep valleys. After one & half hour of trekking we finally reached our listing which was the perfect spot. One side we found out lush green mountains and on other side snow peaks of the mighty Himalayas. We forgot our tiredness and started enjoying the view & didn't even get in the listing for a long time. We had some tea and snacks made by the local staff in the listing. Then Dilip called us to have our lunch in their beautifully designed dining area with a fire place and a small library. I felt so hungry that without wasting a second I took a piece of mutton and shove it in my mouth & it was delicious! Listing was beautifully designed, most of it made by wood. We enjoyed our night with a couple of drinks, bonfire and million stars shining over our heads (which we can't find in cities). Next morning, we woke up early to enjoy a cup of masala tea sitting next to my room's window & admiring the beauty of Himalyas. Then we went out to play Badminton for sometime & had our scrumptious breakfast in the open. Talked to Aunty(the who was taking good care of the listing) and listened to her stories about place & her grandchildren. In afternoon Kamlesh(who has assisted us with our luggage & served food) took us to peak of the hill(ridge) and everything was simply stupendous. We stood on the top of mountain and next to us was a very steep valley which was giving me goose bumps. Then we came back to our listing, took our luggage and climbed down the hill. It was very hard to leave such a charming place, but we did. However, being a photography lover I captured lots of unforgettable moments and scenic beauty of Himalyas. People in the listing were super helpful and warm. Always greeted us with a kind smile. Like the untouched beauty of the place, people appear to be peaceful and very hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place if you're a nature lover, yoga lover, love to meditate, love to read, love photography or just love to sit under the stars. This place is ideal to escape city's hustle & bustle. I'll soon revisit this place to enjoy a few more days in the serenity of Himalyas.
