This was a spacious property, well equipped and clean. Excellent location for Cardiff and plenty to do in the area, we were there for 12 days which we filled easily. A very thoughtful welcome package of essentials was waiting for us. Being an older property and because of its position huddled in a lovely secluded spot it did have a damp odour but the heating was very efficient The cafe in the village was great for breakfast - well worth a visit

Response from Antonia:
Thank you for your review Valerie. We try to make our guests feel as comfortable and cosy as possible at all times. I would like to mention that the cottage does not have a damp problem. A feeling of dampness has occurred once or twice in the summer as the heating is generally off but always when the property has not been ventilated particularly after showering and cooking. I personally was quite shocked by the level of dampness when i went into do the changeover, duvets and pillows all felt damp like never before. Older properties in particular should always be ventilated. I will add a note to future guests to opening the small window slightly in the bedroom when showering.

The cottage was very well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen was well designed to provide all of the expected and modern amenities. It was also roomy with a nice separate bedroom. It is in a location just outside of Cardiff that avoids the traffic and parking issues of the inner city and has easy access to the main roads leading to sites in southern Wales. It is a short distance from a nice Mark and Spencer store for shopping. I only had two full days in Wales for sightseeing so I may return again and would stay at Antonia's cottage again.

This cottage was a real discovery! Our daughter lives nearby and visiting her plus the young grandchildren is lovely but can be exhausting. Being able to come home to the cottage was just what we needed. There is everything there that you need.Highly recommend.

I am the mother if two teenage children living just west of cardiff. We have spent all the children's childhood holidays in New Quay. It really is in the most Idilic setting with glorious views over cardigan bay and on clear crisp winters days looking as far north as Snowdonia.
We enjoy the out door life that living by the sea offers. Breathtaking cliff top walks, sailing and cycling.
New Quay and the surrounding area have always provided us with a great choice of restaurants and pubs. There is plenty to keep you busy all year round. Local music and food festivals are great places to mingle with the very friendly locals.
Familys and friends come back to stay year after year and the visitors book always has comments about our cardigan Bay Dolphins that can be seen from the bedrooms on a regular basis.
