Other things to note

ABOUT PAYMENT:
Many ask about the price and extra fees and how to pay. When you put in the dates and number of people you will get our total cost. There are no taxes on top of this, but AirBnB adds their fee. It varies between 6-12% on top of our price.

All the payments are safely made with credit card to AirBnB when booking. They hold the money until the day you check in and will then transfer it to us.

Bookings with me is done with the "strict" cancellation policy and all cancellations should be done through AirBnB. This being said, if I manage to re-rent the place the nights you have canceled I can give a bigger refund to you than what the strict cancellation policy dictates. The earlier you cancel the bigger the chance that we will find other guests.

(Laundry):
Around the corner from my building (self-serve & drop off).

Check-Out is by 12:00 PM unless otherwise coordinated in advance.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE AIR CONDITIONERS RUNNING WHILE YOU ARE AWAY FROM THE APARTMENT.

Any damaged or missing property will be reported to Airbnb for further action.

Have a great time in NYC and ENJOY my apartment.......

This was my first AirBnB experience - and Sj made it worthwhile. She's very clean and organized- and her space is well maintained. I had a large private room- which ensured privacy and she also allowed me greater access to the rest of her house. Because I was there on extended stay, Sj was gracious enough to let me use her kitchen freely- and was accommodative when my dates changed at the end of the trip. Sj was a great hostess and she is what Air BnB had in mind when they started this service. Thank you!

I stayed at Suzette's place in Brooklyn for 2 nights and 3 days with my dad, brother and friend. She was very accommodating, and we all had a great time. The apartment is in a great location, relatively close to the subway and there are a lot of great little stores and food spots near by. I recommend trying some jerk chicken from one of the places on Utica! I would definitely stay here next time I visit New York and I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, reasonably priced place to stay while visiting New York.

Suzette's place is really lovely - impeccably clean, spacious, and with everything you need and more (reliable wifi, amazing kitchen, really nice bathroom etc). Unexpectedly I was stuck inside for a couple of days during superstorm Sandy and felt very grateful to be there as it was both cosy and secure, and there was absolutely nothing I needed to ask Suzette about other than if there were any candles (luckily there wasn't a powercut and zero flooding as it's on high ground). Overall I found Suzette very efficient and courteous. The only thing I feel I ought to mention, which is obviously no fault of Suzette's at all, is that it's worth doing some research on the area beforehand if you're concerned about personal safety walking around the neighbourhood at night. Personally I didn't feel particularly safe walking from the closest subway station (Crown Heights Utica Ave) at night, and I'm over 6 foot tall and used to living in some of the roughest areas in London. Immediately to the east is Brownsville, so I would recommend against wandering in that direction; (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) it. The problem is that most taxi drivers I encountered in Manhattan wouldn't drive out that far (even though cabbies are legally required to go to anywhere in NYC, a lot will say "sorry, not on my route" or claim they're just about to go off duty), so that's often not an alternative unless you're very patient or get lucky. That said, Crown Heights as a whole does have some nice areas, and during the day it seems OK, certainly along Kingston Ave. So if you head west and walk to Kingston Ave subway instead, it definitely feels safer. People's perceptions will vary, and I'm sure the locals will tell a different story to a first time visitor, but I couldn't in good conscience not mention how I felt about it.

I stayed at Suzette's apartment for 2 weeks and it was the perfect location. Not too far from the subway station or bus links. Suzette was away when I arrived so her cousin Tracy was there to show me around - both responded promptly to any queries I had and Tracey gave me a great run down of things to do in the area. The apartment was spacious and the laundry facilities in the apartment building were really convenient. After a long day out in the city it was great to be able to come back to such a relaxing apartment!

We arrived at the apartment to find an amazingly spacious place, very clean and extremely awesome hosts! We had a great time in the city and it was great to have a safe clean place to stay at. Suzette and her cousin are extremely helpful with info about getting around and always asking if we needed anything. Incredibly gracious. I definitely recommend booking with them if you're in the city, and I know we will check with her first the next time we come back!

My friend and I stayed at Suzettes place for a few days in August. It was absolutely perfect. The entire apartment was really clean and it had everything we needed. Tracy (Suzettes cousins who met us and was also really helpful!) had told us that there was no air con in the main bedroom, only in the lounge room, but with a fan (and a second one delivered a day later it was not even a problem. The pull out couch was also really comfortable. The subway stop was also nice and close, only 5 blocks away I believe. I would recommend anyone who stays here to try the jerk chicken from the place on the corner (sorry I can't remember what it was called) but it is delicious and the man who works there is so friendly and welcoming! Also if anyone needs a ride to the airport I would definitely suggest asking Suzette or Tracy to book it for you, he was super friendly, knows all the short cuts and can also give a great history on all the places you drive past. More like a tour than just a ride to the airport! Will tell all my friends to stay here if they visit the area!

My girlfriend and I recently went to New York for a girl's wkd and we had the pleasure of staying at Suzette's apartment. Suzette's apartment was true to the pictures, very clean and in a great location. It felft like our home away from home. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet as well the people in the building are quite friendlly. We were a 5 min walk from the subway and the bus stop is right at the corner. There are lots of food and locate stores to do some shopping. I would defintely stay at Suzette's place again and I would recommend her place to anyone.
