The space
NO CLEANING FEES! This is guest room #6 with a queen size bed, gas fireplace, en-suite private bath with shower plus separate attached room with double whirlpool tub. This room has windows on three sides, with views of the hayfields and woods beyond, as well as our expansive solar energy array. Our 8-room fully licensed and insured inn is located far from the roadway on acres of country serenity in Hallowell, Maine, surrounded by rolling fields and woods with trails, yet just 3 miles to great dining and boutique shopping, 4 miles to the interstate, and under 5 miles to the State Capitol in Augusta. Maple Hill Farm has received numerous awards for their environmental work, including being named Maine's FIRST "Environmental Leader" green lodging establishment, and they feature wind power, and solar electric and hot water. There is convenient access from the hallway outside of this second-floor room to the sauna and outdoor hot tub. Free Wi-Fi, in-room cable flat-screen TV, DVD player, full bar service, common guest kitchenette, and plenty of common spaces. Full breakfast included with room rates. Your innkeepers, Scott and Vince, have owned the place since 1992 and it reflects their personalities including farm animals down at the barn (mostly llamas!) and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. Adjacent to 800+ acre Jamie's Pond wildlife area with additional trails. Ample parking. A rollaway bed can be added for a third guest.

Maple Hill Farm Inn is located in the idyllic countryside surrounded by rolling fields and woods. The nights are dark with views of the stars, and so peaceful you can hear the crickets sing. Neighbors are few and far between, but great restaurants and musical entertainment are just three miles away in the National Historic District of downtown Hallowell, and the state capitol building in Augusta, along with endless shopping opportunities, are less than five miles away.

Scott (left in photo) and Vince (right in photo) have been innkeepers at the Maple Hill Farm Inn since 1992 (Scott) and 1995 (Vince). They are both native Mainers, Scott from Brunswick and Vince from Union. Scott graduated from Swarthmore College, is a registered professional engineer, and served in both houses of the Maine Legislature for 10 years. Vince repaired electronics for many years and is a talented self-taught cook, having grown up in a very large family. The "family" at the Inn includes two cats, Elmer and Ricky who were adopted as feral barn cats (but Elmer has decided to make himself at home in both the barn and the Inn!), eight llamas, and chickens laying farm-fresh eggs. The Inn exudes being "green" from the wind turbine on top of the hill, to the gleaming solar electric and hot water panels, to four EV charging stations, to the high-quality LED lighting, to the green-certified cleaning products that are used, and even to the Tesla in the garage! Scott and Vince are proud of being full-time innkeepers, and have built a very pleasant and comfortable inn at Maple Hill Farm.
