At checked in, was told that the room 44A that I had booked was not available as somewhere in the room, the roof or waterpipe was leaking. I did not have a chance to view the room as I did not request also. We were not told that the room is not available earlier and as my relatives had only arrived in Singapore in the evening, we have limited time to find an alternative.
The owner put us up into another room available. Our review therefore is on the alternate room given to us and mainly the owner's attitude.
The alternate room given to us was clean however, the surrounding environment (living room, kitchen etc) was not. There's an unpleasant stench from the leftover food and noise and this affected our stay. The air-condition also is not working and ventilation was poor. We feedback to the owner and her reply was that the room was clean and our feedback was not valid. We therefore decided to check out earlier and hope that she can refund us for those nights that we have not utilized. Most importantly, the room is not what we had booked. But however, we were denied on the basis that we already accepted the alternate arrangement.
I will not return to book with this host for the time being.
