We enjoyed our week here very much. The house is situated in a beautiful area and we found that it suited our purpose perfectly. It is very comfortable and attractively furnished. Jean-Christophe was kind enough to inform us about the area, which helped a lot. We used the house as a base from which to cycle every day & really enjoyed exploring the local towns and villages. It's a really lovely part of France. We'd love to come back!

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely house in a wonderful part of France at the beginning of August 2015. 6 of us stayed and enjoyed a very relaxing holiday. The house is great, very commutable beds, extremely clean. We cooked big meals every evening in the kitchen which is very well equipped and the garden was beautiful to sit, eat and drink wine until the early hours and star gaze. we were extremely lucky with the weather. (High 20's every day). We all brought our bikes and enjoyed cycling around the villages nearby. The roads are extremely quite for cyclists and there are also some good cycle paths in the area too. Le Mans is a short drive away and the old bit of the town is well worth the trip, like with most of the places around it was very quite to mosey around. We found an excellent swimming spot in a river a short drive/ hours cycle away. It is near a beautiful ivy clad ruin at Pont Romain. The river does flow fast in places but there is a shallow bit which would be suitable for kids. We had hours of fun on the rope swing and looking at the ruin. Here is a map we found useful for good swimming spots. Pont Romain is on there! (URL HIDDEN) We cycled to Saint-Denis each morning for fresh bread and croissants, the boulangerie opens at 10am, get there early as everything sells out quickly. The small bar/ newsagents/betting shop (this place does everything) doesn't look vey appealing on initial inspection but the locals were extremely friendly and we enjoyed muddled French conversations with them. This is an area off the beaten tourist track, being able to speak some French will really help you out. Jean- Christophe was extremely welcoming and helpful with his local knowledge, he gave us some excellent recommendations and he kindly left maps and leaflets in the house for ideas of things to do and see. I can't recommend this place enough, the house is wonderful, garden beautiful and packed full of wildlife, the area is lovely, quite and relaxing. We would love to come back at some point.

This house is located in a beautiful part of France and a very good place to get your rest. Especially the garden is huge and private located. We were there with our dog and the roads around the village are quite to make good walks.
