A delightful holiday home ideally situated in the heart of Llanberis just off the high street. Perfect for walkers, climbers & mountain bikers. 5 minutes walking distance to local shops, cafés, pubs & the Snowdon railway if you don't fancy the hike!

The space

A charming holiday house nestled in the heart of Llanberis, set on a terraced row just off the high street, close to all amenities.

The house is rustic with lots of character, it has original wooden floors throughout, set over four levels which gives this little terrace a much larger feel, but of course that does mean a lot of stairs. There's a spacious kitchen and dining area with a large kitchen table. The lounge is cosy and the wood burner makes it warm and toasty in the winter months. There is a double bedroom and a small single room with bunk beds on the first floor. Please be aware the bunk bed room is small, suitable for two children or one adult, two adults will definitely be a bit of a squeeze. The second double bedroom is up a narrow staircase to the attic room, where you have views of Snowdon from the skylight window.

We have tried to make the house a home away from home, it is quirky while being a little rough round the edges, set up for soggy boots or wet wellies, where you don't have to worry about dripping on the carpet. We want the house to be a change of pace, allowing you to disconnect from the world and enjoy an undisturbed break. There are board games, cards and a wide selection of books and DVDs.

The house is a lovely retreat at any time of the year.

This is a beautiful, rustic cottage in the middle of the village. A great and informative host who looked after everything. We will definitely visit again.....

Ella is a fabulous host and includes everything you would possibly need for your stay from tea bags and sugar to mixed herbs and vinegar. Ty tal is in a brilliant location 5 minute walk away from the main street in llanberis. The local spar covered all our breakfast and meal essentials and we had fish and chips one evening. One thing to note is the steepness of the stairs in the house. Ella made us fully aware but I didnt quite anticipate for how steep they were. During the day we visited the slate museum and padarn country park in Llanberis which is free entry and padarn castle and beddgelert is only 25 minutes away by car. The dogs loved a paddle in the lake as we walked along the front and the autumn views this time of year are stunning. Thankyou for an easy and stress free stay :)

Absolutely brilliant. Really lovely little cottage, so warm and cosy once the fire is raging. Sofa’s and beds were comfortable and well laid out, bathroom/shower facilities were fantastic and it’s right in the centre of Llanberis. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, would definitely book again.

My family and I spent a lovely weekend in Ella's house in Llanberis. It was a cosy home to return to after walking in the cold!

TY Tal was just perfect for a weekend trip to Snowdon with my three teenage kids. The accommodation is deceptively spacious with it being spread over 4 floors. The basement kitchen & dinning area is generous in size and very well kitted out with just about all you could need, except maybe a dishwasher. There were lots of lovely touches such as milk in the fridge, teas, coffee, biscuits and a selection of conserves. The lounge is small, but very cosy with a large selection of DVDs, books and some games for a rainy day in. The two double bedrooms were ample in size, with one being on the top floor accessible by a slightly tricky staircase that would be difficult for any one frail or elderly. The third bedroom with a bunk bed was small, but fine for my two lads to share, although my eldest did comment that he couldn't sit up on the bottom bunk. Ty Tal is a delightful house with plenty of character, which I wouldn't hesitate to book again when I next visit this area.

Hi, I'm Ella I moved to Llanberis over a year ago from Brighton, for a change of pace and scenery. I love living in the village, being able to walk up a mountain from your front door is pretty great. I want to give people visiting North Wales an easy, enjoyable experience. I…
