Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
This extra-large, south-facing, corner unit, features amazing mountain and ocean views from two walls of windows. This space is priced for up to two people. We will accommodate up to four people upon request.
The location can't be topped! This charming apartment is located in the main business complex of this picturesque, harbor community on Glacier Highway directly across from Statter Harbor. There is a large parking lot behind the Squires Building, so free off street, parking is available on site. Your unit is on the opposite end of the building from the bar so bar noise shouldn't be an issue, but parking lot noise resulting from the building's business activities and road noise is a consideration. Road traffic would consist of vehicles including tour buses heading to and from close-by marinas/harbor, a rock quarry, arboretum, Shrine of St. Therese, adjacent neighborhood and school, and Juneau's ferry terminal. Harbor Haven is a huge one bedroom apartment, 1200 sq. ft. It is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with cooking equipment, Jen air oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, waffle maker, and blender. The bedroom is big with a King sized, comfortable bed, and lots of space for your stuff. The living room has two love seats which pull out into twin sized beds, so the apartment sleeps 4 if two people are willing to sleep on twin pullouts. The TV has Roku so you can stream your favorite shows. The front wall of windows spans the entire unit with harbor ocean views. The harbor parking lot is across the street, so your view is unobstructed. You have mountain views from the large west facing window. There is a dining area with dining table as well as seating at the breakfast bar. Your unit has a full bath, kitchen, living room, dining area, and bonus room at the entry way.

This entire apartment is on the second floor of a two-story business complex. The complex hosts several businesses including three restaurants, a hair salon, a second-hand retail shop, a laundromat, and the sports bar with a view at Auke Bay - Squirez Rest. The parking lot is in the back of the building where you'll access your entry door.

It's self check-in so late arrival is not a problem. You'll be given the lock box code a few days prior to your arrival.

Check-in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am. We will offer you early check-in and late check-out options if it's available, a couple days before your arrival/departure for a fee of $25-$50 depending on your desired schedule and availability.

Harbor Haven at Auke Bay is just 1.5 miles from the Juneau Ferry Terminal, 3.5 miles from the airport, 5.5 miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier, less than a mile from the University of Alaska, and 11.5 miles from Downtown Juneau. Brand new Forbidden Peaks Brewery, Deharts convenience store, Fisherman's Bend dock and gas station, post office, university, school and churches are all within close walking distance. There are many fun, excursions across the street at the harbor, including kayaking and whale watching.

Host, Kelli, happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska, and offers 15% discount on all tours offered by the company, Alaska Travel Adventures, to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. If you're interested in this discount, just ask Kelli for the details. We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review! Please enjoy your stay with us!

The advertised price is for one person. There is a $30 nightly charge for each additional person. Please include the total number of people in your number of people count when making your reservation so that it calculates the correct amount before you confirm the booking, so you'll be quoted the total price. The reason the pricing it this way is to provide a more affordable option for smaller groups, when they will only be using one bedroom and less wear and tear and utilities. I have many guests who travel for work that are by themselves, and I don't want to charge them so much that they can't afford it, just because it can accommodate more people.

We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review! Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows:

Easy check-in process – You'll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lock box code. You'll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4pm. We offer early check-in options, if it's available a couple days prior to your arrival for $25-$50, depending on your arrival time.

Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. Please text her at 907-632-8895 for the fastest response. You can also, call her. She'll respond to web site messages as soon as she can.

Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean.

Great Auke Bay Location – It's a block from the city bus stop and in the heart of Auke Bay walking community. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley/Auke Bay, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown. If you want to be downtown, and don't want to take a 45 minute bus ride to go 15 miles, then this space is not for you.

Accurate Description of the space - I try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do my best to keep the changes updated and published. If I missed something please let me know, so I can update the information. If you are missing something you were counting on, please let me know immediately, so I can try to provide it for your stay.

Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night and have additional people. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have to charge more when the business is there, so that we can afford to have it vacant for long, slow periods.

We will accommodate up to four people upon request. There is a $30 ($34.20 including tax) nightly charge for each additional personl beyond two. The additional fee doesn't automatically calculate when booking, so we will charge the additional amount separately after confirmation.
