About this listing
Price is for the entire home (2 AC rooms, 2 non-AC rooms).
Kolitha’s is a really nice house with four big rooms, located at a short stroll’s distance from the beach. Built as a seaside getaway by a foreigner, its current Sri Lankan owner now uses the house for homestay tourism only, so it’s all yours. Think big rooms, big living, big kitchen and garden. Nice.
Interaction with guests
Kolitha makes a living from hosting guests and has done so for a while. He speaks English and German, can arrange activities and transportation by taxi or tuktuk. Food can be arranged in a variety of Western (barbeque!) and Sri Lankan (curries!) styles.
About 5 kilometres away from Bentota, Moragalla beach adjoins a reef, which makes for a quiet sea and safe swimming. Within a 1 kilometre radius there are lots of Ayurvedic centres and massage places, as well as restaurants for guests to check out. Proximity to Bentota and the main coastal road make Moragalla a very convenient locationto use as a base to visit the area from.

Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
