I spent two months at Paula's place while working at U-Penn. The house is well-connected, the trolley is 1 minute the subway is 10 minutes away, and a docking station for the Indego public bike system is three blocks away. There is a little grocery store on the other side of the …

Very good value. I spent four months here. The neighborhood isn't the fanciest but I never felt unsafe. It's cleaned every Saturday with fresh linen/towels and the kitchen is well equipped. The host responded quickly to fix any problems (eg a broken microwave was replaced fast). …

Loud neighborhood and a bit sketchy. Lots of yelling and sirens all night.

Response from Paula:
I don’t know what sketchy insinuates. Philadelphia is a major city and the block is actually a major thoroughfare that takes residents to nearby Upenn Presbyterian Hospital. It is three blocks from Police District 16 that protects residents from 30th Street station to 52nd Street that borders Drexel U and Upenn. You will encounter an ambulance siren and police sirens in the city. Communication is key. Tip: As a guest contact your host immediately for immediate remedies.

I had only brief chance to meet Paula, she seemed to be a pleasant and competent host. Early communications with her were prompt and helpful. Check in with the coded security system is easy. The amenities are as described, the room is large and comfortable. Public transit, which…

As a host I will not most-likely meet you. I travel. All doors are KEY-CODE locks and that information will be emailed or text before your arrival. Internet information is in your room. Any concerns should be text or emailed. There is a maid service but it's biweekly.
