Fantastic accommodation, and a great location! We took my father to Rene's place for four days to attend the classic car racing at Spa Francorchamps circuit, which is around 30 minutes away. The house was perfect and gave us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms are lovely and the whole house has a lot of space, plus a nice garden. It's just a short drive to pick up groceries. I can highly recommend taking a trip into La Roche, which is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. Communication was first class. Thank you Rene!

We really enjoyed staying here. The hosts are great communicators and you you will not run into any surprises. The house is very well maintained and albeit being an old farm house, it certainly has a nice mix of modern flair with vintage features.

Communication with the host went very well. The place was very clean and well equipped. Of course the old house was really charming but it took us some time to get used to the unusual layout of the spaces and heating the place (it was freezing outside). We also had a little hiccup with the extra payment for the energy but it got all sorted out in the end.

The communication prior to our arrival was great. Rene and Astrid provided all of the necessary information and Christine, the property manager, was pleasant and easy to work with. Rene and Astrid communicated with us throughout our stay and responded quickly to the questions we had. The house is amazing. Pictures don't do it justice! The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with anything you would need to make a meal. We loved our stay!

We had a lovely weekend at Rene and Astrid's farmhouse and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The 3 year olds we had with us especially enjoyed the donkeys, cows, and horses, which were a short walk away. One thing: we found the house very cold as we visited in December, even with the heat on. The fireplace in the bar area didn't do much to provide heat and there were no comfy chairs in that room to enjoy the fireplace, but the fire stove in the kitchen did an excellent job of heating up that room and we spent a lot of our time there.

Hi, I'm René. I'm Dutch, I live in Belgium and I have a business in Germany. This is not unusual when you were born an raised in the tri-country region between the rivers Rhine and Meuse. I am married to Astrid (highschool love) and instead of children we have 2 british shorthair cats. We love to travel (for which we have too little time), especially in the rural parts Spain and Portugal. Our hobbies are good food, spanish wines and staying with family and friends. I have been a frequent visitor of the Belgian Ardennes ever since my parents took me and my sister there on Sunday trips. Almost on a weekly basis.

Since Astrid and myself only live an hour's drive from the Ardennes it was a logical decision to buy ourselves a refuge there. We found a wonderful old farmhouse that had been beautifully restored and immediately fell in love with it. Since then we have enjoyed it very much. We like to share it with our guests who have found us from all over the world ....
