Welcome to Snowvannah, the perfect base for everything Ohakune has to offer, whether it is skiing, biking, hiking or fishing. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and ample space in the lounge to snuggle up in front of the TV or to enjoy a book in front of our electric fireplace. Wifi and Netflix are included, so the kids won't complain of boredom.
For winter, you'll also enjoy the use of our dry room and storage lockers will help you keep your gear safe under the carport.

The 3 Bedrooms are configured as follows:

Bedroom 1 (Lion room) : King bed and ensuite
Bedroom 2 (Rhino room): King bed
Bedroom 3 (Monkey room): 1 Single bed and 1 Bunk bed
A sleeper couch in the lounge is available for additional guests and a portacot will be available if needed.
The house is on electric heating and cooking, so if you have a big group it would be wise to spread out your shower times to ensure everyone has hot water.
The drying room has a dehumidifier and clothing racks.
The carport has parking for 1 car and another car can be parked next to it. The carport has lockers that can be used for storage of your gear.

The house is a quick stroll to the Carrot park where the kids can use up their excess energy and you can get some beautiful photos of the stream that runs through the park. Then take a short walk into town to experience the great kiwi hospitality, coffee and delicious food our small town have to offer. Whether you're visiting for work or play, Snowvannah is the place to stay.

Ohakune might seem like a small town but it punches high above it's weight. It is an adventurists' dream, with nature walks, fly fishing, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, hiking and wall climbing on your doorstep. You can't look past Ohakune for your next kiwi adventure.

The carrot park is a must-stop for the kids. They are constantly working to upgrade and expand the park so the kids (and young at heart) can spend hours playing. The provided BBQs are also great for the traditional kiwi sausage sizzle or family picnic.
If you're after a good burger, you can't go past The Blind Finch or if it's the humble fish 'n chips you're after, Captain Kune's won't disappoint. Johnny Nation's Chocolate Éclair shop is a must for those with a sweet tooth.

As much as we'd love to meet you in person, we, unfortunately, don't live in Ohakune. We, however, are only an hour away so if there is a major problem we can come through to see you. Otherwise, a text or email will suffice as we're very quick to respond to your queries. A Wi-Fi lock system will grant you access to Snowvannah for the duration of your stay.
