Meadow view is a studio log cabin or woodland room. It offers a centrally heated, ensuite, 'glamping plus' experience. In secluded private woodland it is two miles from Whitby and a ten minute walk, cross country, to the pub.

Individually designed, 'Meadow View' has a double bed, a dining/seating area and a log burner/ hot plate. It is en-suite and centrally heated. There is a small fridge. We have also added a two ring camping gas stove on the terrace and a fire pit area.

The space
We are not a camp site. We have a few cabins. Spaced out through 4 acres. Each has its own outlook and private outside seating area. 'Meadow View' is back to back with another 'woodland room' but not overlooked.

The two cabins are accessed by a stone path. It is downhill and not lit at night for environmental reasons. We supply torches but do not recommend the path for anyone with limited mobility.

For all year round walking and cycling, the Cinder track, which runs from Whitby to Scarborough and is five minutes walk away. You can even walk cross country to the supermarket.

Many of our guests don't use a car during their stay with us.

Whitby is a bustling seaside town with a great variety of bars and restaurants and interesting shops. It's Abbey ruins are famous for the Dracula associations and two museums record the town's maritime history including the Captain Cook connection.

Near

If you do choose to drive, the iconic villages of Goatland and Grosmont, home to Heartbeat and Harry Potter's Station 13 1/4 are a short drive away and there is great walking there too. Falling Foss waterfall is another beauty spot and there are all weather walks in Danby Forest.
