Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A lovely spacious barn in a beautiful and quiet location, from which to discover North Wales.

The space
The Barn is situated at the side of the main house, Blaen Y Ddol. The barn has its own entrance and private fenced garden, making it feel quite separate and tranquil. The garden offers a seating area, fire pit, grass areas and stunning views. The entrance leads into the kitchen, which is equipped with a large fridge freezer, range cooker, microwave and all essentials. Up a couple of steps, the kitchen leads to a dining area. There is a good sized bathroom at one end of the barn (with a bath and walk in shower) and a large sitting room at the other.

Sleeping arrangements include 2 double bedrooms and a gated mezzanine floor with 2 single beds. While the barn does sleep 6 we would recommend a maximum of 4 adults as the mezzanine floor has a very low ceiling height and is more suitable for children. We also have 2 cot beds available for use if required.

Some toys and games are available. If you have children around 1-2 years old please let us know as we have a couple of extra things we could put in the barn to entertain them!

Other things to note
Please note that there is a pond at the front of the premises. Whilst it is fenced from the garden side, supervision of young children is required in the car park area.

We have two young and enthusiastic dogs living on the premises (cockerpoo and labradoodle). They don’t have access to the garden for Glyndwr Barn, but if you are not keen on dogs you need to be aware that they are around. We also have young twin boys who you might sometimes hear playing.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are located along a quiet lane surrounded by fields and amazing views. There are lovely walks from our doorstep where you can find the Afon Alwen River and peaceful wooded areas. At the end of our lane (approx. 5 minute drive) you will find the Rhug Estate shop, restaurant and takeaway. Corwen centre is a 10 minute drive and provides useful amenities such as a butchers, bakers, pharmacy, convenience store, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and some beautiful walks. Further afield there is Bala Lake, Ruthin, Llangollen and of course Snowdonia National Park. You can reach the centre of Chester in an hour. There are also many great locations for cyclists including Llyn Brenig Reservoir, Coedwig Clocaenog and Llandegla Forest. We can provide a secure location to store your bikes if required.
