True country living. 1 hour drive N.W. of Calgary in the foothills. Natural spring-fed water. Perfect for those choosing day trips to golf or ski in surrounding areas OR just wanting the solitude of staying on the property & using the private walking/cross country paths. Suite is bright & airy with hotel quality bedding - an inviting space to relax after a busy day. Have a meal out in one of the nearby towns or come back to cook in a well equipped kitchen. Firepit & barbecue on site.

The space
Access to the 1400 sq.', 2nd story suite is through the garage with your own private entrance.(Please note there IS a flight of stairs) Renovations in early 2020 created an eclectic combination of retro, old world & modern - but we pride ourselves in cleanliness." AIR BNB 5 STEP ENHANCED CLEANING PROCESS IS IN PLACE". Some of the original fixtures, cabinets,etc. are remaining, as is the classic soaker tub/shower combination. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated - all with new, fresh bedding & duvets. Kitchen and bar are very complete - anything lacking - we are close by! Entertainment: t.v.; dvd player; 4-in-1 music center, assortment of board games. Weather permitting - an outside firepit for your personal use (wood is provided). Barbecue (shared with hosts). All utensils for firepit & barbecue supplied for your personal use. Winter months - outside patio with propane heater if you want to indulge in an occasional cigar! Another private full bathroom in the main house can be made available for an additional charge. (Keep in mind we ARE in the country & if you have allergies, Mother Nature is in control - not us!)

Property is 1/4 section of beautiful treed & open areas. Some cows & miniature donkeys roam freely. Walking trails & cross country ski trails(currently being developed) are right here on the property if you want to self distance from the "maddening crowd"! Day trips can take you out to the Ya ha tinda where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the wild horses. There are also streams & rivers offering unique fishing experiences. Head out to the Burnt or Fallen Timber areas for a picnic/hike. Golf courses are close by. Area towns - Cremona, Sundre, Olds, Didsbury, Cochrane all have something to offer, whether it be restaurants, museums, etc. Water Valley (15 minute drive) has an actual saloon serving meals & beverages & closeby is a family run meadery you can visit. As we have done a lot of travelling ourselves, we think we know what is important in a rental. We want you to be able to come & relax with all the comforts of home & are on-site should you be lacking any essentials. Cleanliness is a priority. Airbnb's 5-step enhanced cleaning process is followed here. Our property has lots to offer in itself: walking/hiking/cross country trails. If your intent is to have a private getaway, without the intervention of strangers - this is the place! We hope you will enjoy visiting this unique part of Alberta. (I understand & speak a bit of German & Slovenian.)
