We had an amazing time, the cottage was spotless and so charming.Debs was great and so helpfull couldnt have wished for more . Stairs were a little steep as have mobility problem at the moment due to illness but we managed ! Home has really lovely atmosphere and to sit watching the little steam train as you have your coffee was a joy. All the beds were so comfortable and soft and loads of storage, huge bathroom with a massive double shower and a bath so you were spoilt for choice. Fantastic walk into Whitby 10 mins if your slow like us and you have crossed the bridge into the heart of the town. Parking is the only tricky bit if honest you do need a permit for outside the cottage or you are ok if you have a blue badge but we managed to get a great spot outside the pub and didnt move the car the whole time we were there which made you walk more. Plenty of great places to eat - nice no macdonalds or burger kings or kentucy fried which made a refreshing change. Loads of little cafes, pie and mash, and some of the best fish and chips you will ever have. A very dog friendly town but everyone keeps it clean. Doesnt matter what you are into there is something for everyone to see and do.

I will never use air bnb again. I will close my app. This place was dirty and cold when we arrived. Mold in shower, food crumbs on counter, greasy stove, insufficient bedding, no wifi, towels not provided. Deb did come a couple of hours after leaving a message on her phone and cleaned the flat and made up bed and even brought us towels but by this time we were disgusted with the place. Later I dropped a coin down into the couch cushion and it was awful under there. Also dirty red comforter was made up on the bed. (?!) Compared to the beautiful B and B's we encountered on the rest of our UK trip this place was the most expensive and the most disappointing. The location in a dirty alley where we had to crowd past a garbage bin in the dark and damp and climb a dangerous narrow dirty cement staircase was bad. Across the road a pub was noisy at closing time. Enough! Goodbye Air BnB.

Received a welcome email just before our stay and had all the information we needed for a smooth arrival. Such a great location overlooking the harbour and a short walk from everything we needed. Our son loved being able to see the steam trains from the sofa and the rotating bridge from his bedroom. A great little place and a great location for our week in Whitby. Thanks.

The house is in a great location, quiet, with a lovely view overlooking the harbour. Parking nearby was easy (but we left the car in one place for our whole stay). It was comfortable and had a lovely feel but amenities are quite basic.
