Our five bedroom apartment once was a part of the whole gorgeous imperial apartment. Then, after the revolution it turned into a communal one. And now we live here and share some of the rooms with guests from all over the world. Our place is not a hostel neither a guesthouse. It is our precious home. We created it with love and made a lot with our own hands.

The space

About 150 years ago a rich man built this spacy well-decorated house for him and his family only. After the revolution of 1917 it was divided in lots of communal apartments.

Our apartment is one of them. Nowadays it is a mix of the present and history - traditional communal apartment with comfortable life conditions and nice decoration. Here me and my friends live.

Interaction with guests

We are happy to receive everyone, from China to Canada. We will help you with tips about the city, suggest you some coffee. As well we would like you to remember that coming here you come home. And this home has some rules that are needed to be respected and followed.

Other things to note

We tried to make our apartment creative and a bit artistic. Most of time we stay at home, because of that we always are available to help you with any tips you need. And we would ask you to respect the calm atmosphere of our place. We appreciate silence as much as an interesting talk!

The description of the apartment is really accurate, what you see is exactly what you get. The apartment is well located, it's not difficult to commute from it to other places in town.

The location is extremely good, it's a short 10 minutes walk to all the best sights in St Petersburg. The cat was lovely, the room was very clean and everything was as described and looked so interesting to stay in, the room was spacious and the natural light coming from the windows was wonderful to see! I definitely did enjoy my stay and will book again if I visit again.

While the place is in a reasonable location, our interaction with the host was horrible. The host has little concern for your well being. During the confederation period, there is a presidential decree given for all visitors to be registered. Please check decree No. 202. Refer to this link: (URL HIDDEN) 1. The host told me to ignore the law and that no one follows the law, as she tries to brush off the matter. In fact, I was the one who informed her once I know about the need to register. I only got the news after I checked out of her place and could not register at my next accommodation because the hosts did not fulfill their role as responsible host. 2. She later blamed me for not asking her to register when I was staying at her place. Obviously I was unable because I didn't know the law then. 3. She later gave excuses and said that she is going overseas tomorrow and cannot register for me. 4. She also tried to give excuses like registering at her place after I check out does not work. (This is not true as you will need registration paper done in your earlier accommodation for your subsequent accommodation) In fact i told her at 5am once my friend told me about it, and she replied me at around 12 noon with all the excuses above. When I showed her the website that it is the host's responsibility, she blamed me (check point 2) and point 4. As a host, it is only right you update the guest on your country's law and not to tell your guest to ignore the laws. At the end of the day, if anything happens to you at the customs, you are the one risking your visa as it is not properly registered.

Response from Dina&Liana:
I'm very unpleasant and sad to read, what you wrote! You spent 5 days in my house and I did everything to make you feel good. You smiled at me and when they left you thanked me and said that you liked everything! I'm sorry that you have problems after leaving my house! But I can not take care of my guests during their entire trip around Russia. I do not understand on what grounds you call my departure - PULLING ?? I think that such guests as you need to stay in hotels, not in the homes of the owners! You do not appreciate the care that we give you you just need !!

My mom and Myself stayed in Dinas & Lianas for 5 nights during June. Both girls are super friendly and very helpful with everything. They have a very lovely cat who loves to be stroked. The flat is located perfectly fine, close to a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. Bars and pubs are also close by. We mainly walked everywhere and it took us around 15 minutes to go to the Hermitage, so also perfectly located to see all the important spots of the city. The flat is quite cold so I would recommend to bring some slippers or warm socks. :) The only thing I didn't like is that the hosts are smoking in the kitchen where you take your shower. Sometimes it smelled a bit bad because of the smoke but usually the window was open so it wasn't too bad. :) Apart from that the flat was very clean and tidy. In total I can say that we had a lovely stay in Dinas & Lianas apartment. :)

It is really well located, only 15 min walk from Saint Saviour. The room was spacious and bright. But too many rules that made us feel like intruders.
