Stockton Harbor Yurts is a unique destination with water views, expansive waterfront lawn space for recreation, and wooded trails. Walk and play along the private beach, kayak, forage for berries, play a game of bocce, or explore the unique midcoast area including Belfast and historic Searsport. In the evening, BBQ on the grill, catch magnificent sunsets, or enjoy a waterfront campfire while gazing at the stars. Our yurts are the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or a family excursion.

The space
Stockton Harbor Yurts are nestled among the trees on a 34 acre parcel of land. There are trails connecting each yurt, or pair of yurts to the waterfront. The unique space is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast with walking/snowshoeing trails and access to kayaks and other games from The Playground.

Our Yurts feature a modern design of a largely traditional structure - widely used historically by nomads.

Yurts are traditionally one-room; a circular accordion lattice wall surrounds the room. Ours offer a fully enclosed bathroom.

Guest access
The campus and grounds are shared with other guests who could be renting an additional yurt nearby. The shared spaces include the walking trails, the waterfront, and the fire pit.

There is plenty of space to enjoy with your group, including the area immediately surrounding the yurt.

Other things to note
Parking for one vehicle is currently located next to the yurt in the driveway. If you need to have an additional vehicle, please contact us for instructions.

Location

Stockton Springs, Maine, United States

Stockton Harbor is the hidden jewel of the midcoast, an easy 20 minute drive from the beautiful town of Belfast. Lightly trafficked through most of the year, the summer draws mainly locals looking for an easy outlet to access the gorgeous waters of Maine. The town dock is used largely by commercial lobstermen, but many recreational boats cruise in and out of the channel, with quick access to Penobsot Bay.

There are no surrounding houses in the area due to the size of the parcel of land upon which the yurts sit. The village of Stockton Springs has a gym, 2 restaurants, an art gallery, a community library, a historical society, and a massage therapist. There are also a state park on the other side of Cape Jellison.
