The farm (two under one roof) was built in 1900. The front house has retained many authentic details.

The front house with a sitting room offers you peace and space in a rural area. We live in the back house.
Ideal for cyclists and hikers.
Only 3 km from Steenwijk city center and 3.9 km from the NS station. Close to Giethoorn, the Weerribben and Hunebedden in the Holtingerveld nature reserve. The Colony of Frederiksoord, listed on UNESCO world heritage, is only 6.5 km away.

The space
The guesthouse has its own entrance, authentic details and offers full privacy. It is a sitting/bedroom, which is 21 m 2 in size, with private bathroom and small private kitchenette. You can also choose 2 separately made beds. Please indicate this at the time of booking. The studio is decorated in old style. With soft light and authentic dark colors to preserve authenticity as much as possible. There is a small TV.
The front garden is not fenced so you can enjoy the beautiful view over the fields, the habitat of deer, hares and storks that (depending on the season) can be seen regularly. Two plastic garden chairs and a table are ready for use. An extra cable lock and cover are available for your bicycles. Breakfast can be ordered from catering company Het Pakhuys. See photo.

Kitchenette (very simple small kitchen) With 2 hobs that heat up slowly. Pay attention to the correct cooking position. 4 pots and frying pan and kitchen utensils. *Salt and *pepper, *oil, *coffee, *tea, *sugar and *milk are provided.

There are several thresholds in the front house. Also a step at the front door and therefore unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. The floor is not completely flat. Our accommodation is not suitable for children over 1 year of age.
The kitchen is small and only suitable for preparing a simple meal.
In the bathroom there is floor heating. (Average temperature is 21 degrees Celsius.)

When exercises take place at the Havelte military base, this can be heard clearly.

The cottage is located in a rural area.
It may be that in the vicinity, gasoline-powered devices or tractors are mowing and pruning.

The hot water supply/boiler is shared. But there is always enough hot water to shower. In the kitchen there is a 10 liter boiler.
