As advertised. We had 10 people in town for a concert and everyone loved the amount of space we had for the weekend and it was less expensive than a hotel. I will recommend this location to everyone going to kc.

Frederique was great - very welcoming and accommodating. Their kitchen came stocked with bagels and coffee, which was a great surprise. The house was very well decorated, neat, and spacious. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided and then some. As far as the …

Local friends and cab drivers must not know the area well then ;). Or they know it from way back… Fifteen years ago it was indeed not the safest. But a few years ago the city has put $ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) to rehabilitate the entire area which is today an eclectic neighborhood of artists and ethnic diversity. In comparison, most people see Westport (or even the Plaza nowadays!) as safe places and would stigmatize our neighborhood as not the safest one, when it is actually the contrary (as any city crime rate map would show). Regardless of the different neighborhoods Kansas City has to offer, we are in the middle of a big city with its pros and cons, but I would not change it for the world. We love our area, our neighbors, our house, the proximity to everything in KC and the fact that we can walk to Martini Corner 3 blocks away for great food and drinks. Martini Corner is Kansas City's hip and creative entertainment district with all local owner operated bars and restaurants, and if anyone tells you it’s an unsafe neighborhood that is simply not true.

Myself and seven friends were in town for a four-day conference, but we wanted a comfortable place to stay. A place where we could enjoy one another's company with the amenities of home, and that is exactly what we found with Frederique! A beautiful home with four comfortable bed…

I'll start off by saying that this is the perfect place for any stay in Kansas City. The rooms are all very nice (especially the Louis XIV room) and kept extremely clean. There are two full bathrooms and a half bath which perfectly suited my group's needs. The room on the top flo…

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful experience staying here in Kansas City. The location was ideal for getting quickly to all the downtown hot spots and while in a neighborhood that is still in the process of being revitalized we never felt unsafe. There was off street parking…

Thank you very much for your kind words. I wish I could have met you guys but I know that Fred enjoyed having you in the house. As to your suggestion about adding a TV in the common room we actually decided a long time ago to put a TV in each of the bedrooms and leave the common room without one. Our thought was that this room was more meant to be used as a chill out room, where guests could meet for a drink or grab a book and read, or listen to music, or paint even, etc. That being said, you might be right, it might be a good idea and it's definitely worth considering. We'll ask future guests what they think and if the majority agrees that it'd be great to have a TV there, we'll add one :) Take care! Frédérique

Frederique and her husband were excellent hosts. Their home is completely renovated inside. Beds and bathrooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great and included homemade crepes and other home baked goodies. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I would start by saying that my husband and I are Citizens of the World and simply epicureans... We are both born and raised in France, I'm from Paris (yeah, one of them nasty Parisians..;), he is from Brittany (West coast of France, the Celtic part). As much as we love our count…
