About this listing
Araluen House is a luxurious light and breezy beach house, amidst lush, tropical gardens and fish ponds. Comfort is its primary objective, a place for friends and family to gather to celebrate the good things in life.
The uniquely different spaces are what makes this place special. There are four large bedrooms, the main with a king bed, the Bali bungalow with a king and double bed, two with queen beds and the 5th smaller bedroom has a double bed. Three have en-suites. Araluen House is able to accommodate a large family, a couple of smaller families or groups of friends. With plenty of indoor/outdoor areas, there is space for everyone to lounge around separately or together. I love the kitchen area, it's a fabulous place for everyone to congregate whilst cooking up a storm. The back gate leads to a short cut to the beach.
The entire house with its four bedrooms and separate accommodation in the Bali House. No more than 12 guests are accepted.
Interaction with guests
My sister, Megan will be managing the property and will be taking bookings and will answer any of your queries. She will greet you upon arrival and help you with any questions you have during your stay.
Werri Beach is a wonderful surf beach between two majestic headlands with a paved boardwalk from one end to the other. Close to our house is the lagoon with easy swimming for younger children who may find the surf daunting. Gerringong has good coffee and a few nice restaurants. Minnamurra Falls is close by - a great family outing. The town of Berry is only 15mins drive away with antique stores, a wonderful bakery, deli and bottle shop.
Unless you are happy to hang around the house, you will probably need a car to go exploring, or to visit some of the local shopping areas.
Other things to note
As the house has two large fish ponds, we don't recommend the property if you have small children who are unable to swim.
We expect our guests to respect the property as they would their own home. It is not a party house but our beach home. Our neighbours are wonderful and we would ask you to respect their right to privacy and quiet. There is a Rules sheet at the house which we would ask that you are mindful of.
My husband and I live in Sydney and escape when we can to our beautiful house on the South Coast of NSW. It is a home away from home for us and we have focused on comfort and a place to be with friends and family. We are lucky that my sister lives only five minutes away and is there to greet you and to ensure your stay is as perfect as it can be.
