The space
Beniaskie! is picturesquely situated on a natural, approx. two ha large meadow with its own small forest and in a tucked away location directly on Lake Beniaskie off the tranquil village of Bieniasze in Warmia-Masuria. A stylish, light-flooded domicile almost only made of wood with the two separate cottage apartments "Myslaki" & "Trokajny" generously designed - each on 72 sqm and two levels, and with two verandas each. The two cottage apartments are amply separated from each other by a 12-metre long "barn" and each can accommodate up to four guests (+ possibly one baby/toddler in a cot). Of course, you can also rent both cottage apartments together; then up to eight guests (+ possibly two babies/toddlers in two cots) can enjoy their holidays having Beniaskie! all to yourself. In that case please contact us before via e-mail.

Both cottage apartments each have a large open kitchen with refrigerator / freezer combo, gas stove, sink and dishwasher as well as a bathroom with shower (from October to April with underfloor heating). To the lake and to the field side there are large double-wing doors and two fully covered terraces each - and with doors open you will even feel like living in the meadow. Deer, rabbits, foxes, hedgehogs, beavers, cranes, storks, hawks, sea eagles, toads, frogs, and newks live and hunt just a few meters away from you in the field and at the lake. In winter, it will be warm enough even at -20 degrees celsius thanks to thick-insulated wooden walls and bollering cast iron stoves. Firewood is not included in the rental price, but can be ordered in advance. On the upper floor of each quarter you sleep deeply and comfortably in a 21 sqm bedroom with four single beds, two standing next to each other, the other two single; if necessary, a baby / toddler bed can be added. There are high-quality box spring mattresses and duvets and pillows made of pure natural materials, in summer cotton and in the cooler months duvets made of local goose down.

And the following also belongs to the furnishing of each cottage apartment:
- a basket with firewood
- kitchen-starter-set with dishwasher tabs, dishwashing liquid, kitchen papertowels, waste bags, toilet paper, matches & firestarters, salt & pepper from the grinder, and organic rape oil & apple vinegar
- local map for hikers, bikers, and discoverers
- welcome apple juice or honey or cheese in organic quality from our neighbours
- a regularly updated event calendar - here you find out what is going on around Beniaskie!: markets, festivals, sports, culture, ...
- a local guide booklet with true insider hints, interesting shopping ideas, superb restaurants and quaint taverns, exciting sport and leisure facilities, small organic farms, emergency contacts, a.s.o.
- a brief language primer for the most useful terms in Polish, although one gets along with English (or German) quite well, too...

WLAN via 4G is available on Beniaskie! but the data volume is limited - TV streaming, online-Gaming, or MegaGigabyte up/downloads are unfortunately not possible, but we believe you didn't come extra for that on Beniaskie!...

Where you’ll be

Bieniasze, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Poland

All this you can find on a natural, approx. two ha large meadow with its own small deciduous forest and in a remote location directly on Lake Beniaskie, off the tranquil village of Bieniasze in the municipality of Milakowo in Warmia region, four km west of the Pasleka river nature reserve and directly bordering the nature reserve of Lake Wuksniki.

The approx. 300 m long shore line on Lake Beniaskie borders the land to the east, forest and fields to the south, meadows with a wet biotope and hills to the west and north. On the shore of the lake is the old Beniaskie! jetty, where your rowing boat is moored. From the swimming deck connected to the jetty, you can jump into the lake and swim a few laps, or over to the jetty of the manor house. Right next to the jetty is the natural Beniaskie! bathing spot with sandy beach. Small children / non-swimmers should only splash around there with wings or similar and only under supervision! You can also perfectly fish in the lake - the annual fishing championship of the community takes place here occasionally and capital catfish and pikes are regularly spotted and caught.

The entire plot covers about 14 ha, is crossed by two small seasonal streams with pools and wetlands and is very hilly - from the viewpoint (152 m above sea level) you have a fantastic view over north-western Warmia. On the other side of the estate is Wuksniki Lake, with 68 m the deepest lake in Warmia-Masuria and featuring crystal clear waters (ideal for diving!). To its large sandy beach with a long bathing and diving pier you'll get via field and forest paths on foot or by our Beniaskie! bicycles. With our bicycles you can also comfortably explore extensive forests of the surrounding area to the Pasleka River or Lake Narie. Depending on the season, you can find blueberries, blackberries, wild strawberries, currants, chanterelles, porcini mushrooms, chestnuts, and much more. At night, you may look at the fascinating clear Warmian-Masurian sky with countless stars.

Carefree holidays can be enjoyed here because you can romp around in nature on one hand, but on the other explore Olsztyn with old town, arboretum, planetarium, aqua park, wakeboard lift, and high rope park, Ostroda with the world-famous Oberland Canal, or the nearby Gdansk & Vistula Lagoon. Many of the other attractions of Warmia-Masuria can be easily discovered in day trips.

Bieniasze is situated on a small countryside road between Milakowo and Swiatki / Lukta. Distance from Frankfurt (Oder) border crossing is 511 km, of which 289 km of highway resp. four lane expressway, rest well-developed country road. From the border Frankfurt (Oder) you only need six hours! Or by train in 6:37 from Berlin central station via Poznan to Ostroda, or to Gamerki Wielki with taxi to Beniaskie!. From Skandinavia and the Baltics, you will land in Gdansk / Gdynia port, just a good our away from Beniaskie!. Of course, by plane even faster, to Gdansk (GDN) or Olsztyn-Mazury (SZY) from many European cities and then further to Beniaskie! by rental car.

For shopping or services you will reach Milakowo in a few minutes. There are small grocery stores, butcher shop, bakery, post office, (dental) doctor and vet, pharmacy, ATM, petrol station and much more. The historic Klekotki Mill also is nearby, where delicious regional specialties are being served in a rustic environment. From many organic farmers in the area you can buy bread, eggs, me, (goat) cheese, cider, (lavendel) honey, Hereford T-Bones & Burgers and other organic products made according to traditional recipes. If possible, we are happy to bringing something for you, also in the morning like rolls & co.

And if you don't want to cook, you can row over to the old manor house: on pre-order there is a delicious and rich, enchanting dinner with hot and cold dishes, almost everything from own cultivation and slaughter. Or a rustic evening BBQ around the campfire with grilled ham. Please don't forget the torch while rowing home; in new moon or foggy evenings you may land on the wrong bank...
