The apartment is located in the Rifredi neighborhood equipped with every comfort and a pleasant garden. The old town, the SMN train station and the airport are less than 6 km. Bus stops are within 200 m, the supermarket is at 400 m.

The space

"La Viola di Firenze" is an apartment of three rooms located on the ground floor of a small building with only two floors. Located in a quiet, small and traditional courtyard. It consists of a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, a living room, a bathroom with shower and a large closet. The living room is furnished with a double sofa bed so as to allow for up to four guests at the same time. Available, free internet with WIFI inside the apartment. Recently and tastefully renovated, it is embellished with wooden beams in Tuscan style and equipped with every comfort. Air conditioning in the bedroom, a heating system, a security door, a small safe and an alarm. A beautiful, lush garden allows you to spend peaceful hours among plants and flowers. The double entrance gives access to the house either from the garden or from the main door.
The garden is full of flowers, where the predominant color is purple (on the other hand we are in Florence ...) thanks to the presence of not only many wild purple plants.
Another factor for the benefit of our guests is that "La Viola di Firenze" is just 20 meters from our house: so for every need, simply ring the bell or send a text message through your mobile phone or WA.
Within walking distance there are the university complex, the new Palagiustizia, the Careggi, CTO and Meyer hospitals.

Guest access

Our guests can use the whole apartment and need not worry about bringing linens because we provide them for free along with soap and bubble bath. For stays of less than 7 nights, replacements and cleaning of the apartment are not intended, which you won't have to worry about at the end of your stay.
We expect some "basic necessities" like water, tea and coffee for you to freely use.
There is a hairdryer, a washing machine and a dishwasher.
For stays of at least three nights, there will also be a sweet surprise to welcome you.
We are animal lovers, so your "little travel companions" are welcome: perhaps let us know at the time of booking so that we can arrange what you need. There is no additional charge.
Please, we ask that you do not smoke in the apartment to respect all guests, especially those about to come. The garden is available if you want.
Check-in and check-out times are flexible.

Interaction with guests

There are no issues if our guests need information, advice and tips. We are available and you will also find Florentine maps in the apartment, ideas to enrich your stay and a selection of restaurants and pizzerias.
To get to the best of the city, we advise you to arrive in Florence not by car. Leave that at home and trust us. With a small surcharge and by booking our service, we will come to take you to Peretola Airport or to the railway station and, at the end of your holiday, we will escort you once more.

Other things to note

We would like to remind you that since July 1, 2011, the City of Florence has established the Tourist Tax, which in our case began in October 1, 2014, is 2.00 Euros per day per person.
The following are exempt from paying the tourist tax:
• children until the age of twelve
• people who assist inpatients at health center facilities, even under a day hospital, for up to two patient escorts
• patients receiving hospital care under a day hospital
• Students enrolled at the University of Florence.
In order to benefit from the exemption, they must provide a certificate with the general information of both the escorts and the patient, indicating the period of reference for healthcare or hospital admissions. The certificate must state that the stay at our holiday house is aimed for the patient's healthcare.
The municipal regulation also provides a discount of 50% on tourist tax for middle and high school groups in educational tour and for athletes who are 16 years old and are members of groups participating in sporting events and tournaments organized collaboratively with the Municipal of Florence.

Great host! Super nice and accommodating. He picked us up and dropped us back off at the airport (for an extra fee). Garden was beautiful! Would recommend this apartment and host!!!

Ubaldo's a truly stellar host, and the place is amazing, as well. When I was meeting him, I forgot our meeting point, and had to search around the station for WiFi (tip: there isn't any unless you register with a cell number). I eventually found him some 20 minutes after we were supposed to meet, and he was still waiting patiently! As for the place itself, it's spacious and well-equipped, and it's quite nice to have the garden out back. It's away from the city center, which means it's away from the noises of tourists and street vendors, although it does mean it's a bit of a trek to most of Florence's attractions. There are buses that take you there, from what I've told, but honestly, it was close enough that I didn't use them. Overall, I'd highly recommend both the place I stayed and Ubaldo as a host.

This place and Ubaldo are amazing! Ubaldo was extremely helpful with directions from the train station and there was water/juice upon my arrival...extremely welcome coming from the summer heat! The place itself was very clean and spacious. Definitely a home away from home

Ubaldo picked me up from the train station which was helpful as I may have struggled to find the place on my own. The apt was very well kept and clean and Ubaldo had even provided some water and juice in the fridge which was a great touch. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and at night the place was cool and quiet. The walk into the centre of town takes about 30 mins and is a fairly easy route. There are local buses and trains, however I found these a little tricky to navigate. Will 100% be staying again in the future if I am near the area.

I had a fantastic stay in Florence! The host offered to pick me up at the train station and also dropped me off so I wouldn't miss my train. The apartment is very clean and spacious, and has a nice private garden to relax in. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was as advertised! The place was bigger than I thought, great value, clean, WiFi worked great, central. Even had juice and bottled water in the fridge for my arrival. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Ubaldo was a great host. He was able to accommodate my early check-in request, had bottled water/juice and coffee available and the house is very clean and quaint. I also enjoyed the little garden outside. After checking out today and departing for Rome, he even drove me to the train station! Very friendly and great host. Grazzi, Ubaldo!
