Escape the world to complete privacy. Surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of farm land, with the magnificent scenery of the Southern Alps as a backdrop. Located down a long driveway off SH6, several hundred metres from the nearest house but still digitally connected to keep in touch.
Cosy-up by the fire, soak in nearby natural hot-springs or take in some stunning local walks to lonesome places. Also an easy day trip one hour south to the glaciers or one hour north to Hokitika.

The space
An alarm system on the driveway ensures you will not be interrupted without warning. The only person you may see is the occasional farm worker moving stock.
The cabin has a hunting theme and we ask that you respect this choice including the Thar and Chamois heads that decorate the wall.
Hunters' meat processing area in shed.
Listen for the calls of the kea and other birds.
Continental breakfast provided.
Fishing tutoring and guiding available for fly fishing, lure fishing, surf-casting and whitebaiting.

Guest access
The whole house and acre section are exclusively for your use.

Other things to note
We do not charge a cleaning fee so please leave it as tidy as you found it, including washing, drying and putting away dishes.
There are sandflies on the West Coast so bring repellant for outside (there is a bug repelling device inside).
Pets are ok so long as they are kept outside.
Smoking is outside only.

My husband Dan and I and our two children try to live off the land as much as we can by fishing, hunting, growing our own vegetables and fruit, making our own fruit wines and using locally available resources. We believe in good old West Coast hospitality and love meeting people. We are happy to show people around our property and tell them a bit about our way of life.
