Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Some info has been automatically translated.
Clickety-Clack is nestled at the head of Loch Eil, 10 miles from Fort William, 6 miles from Glenfinnan. Sleeps 4 persons max. Sits along side the A830. 1 well behaved dog is permitted at the cottage with prior arrangement. We have beautiful views of the Loch and Ben Nevis. Perfect for couples and families and sits alongside the West Highland Railway line, the cottage is in the enviable position to watch the trains pass the front door. Car is essential in order to see the surrounding areas.

The space
Maximising on space and light, the open plan layout of kitchen/lounge/dining lends itself to a relaxing and bright space. You will find a fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofa and armchairs that sit beside a wood burning stove and gives this cottage bags of Highland charm! 12ft full length windows flood the room with light and frame the beautiful views of loch Eil and Ben Nevis and from here you can sit back and relax in the natural surroundings. The dining area comfortably seats 4 with smart TV, cd and radio.
The king size master bedroom, with en suite power shower, has patio doors opening out on to the garden. There is a wall mounted TV with Netflix (so you can pop a movie on for the kids while you enjoy a romantic glass of wine in the lounge)
The dual aspect twin room takes in mountain, loch and railway track views. This sits beside the family bathroom.
Please note the property does not have a bath. The Utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and a useful overhead pulley to hang any wet outdoor clothes.
The garden has seating to enjoy those magical views and to wait for the Hogwarts Express to fly by.
The whole space is easily accessibility to all areas, has underfloor heating throughout and has been decorated with some quirky little personal touches to ensure your stay in my beautiful little cottage is one of comfort, style and relaxation. We have also enhanced our cleaning protocols to mitigate against Covid 19 and leave extra cleaning supplies for guests.

Guest access
You can access 100% of Clickety-Clack Cottage and the garden.

Other things to note
The A830 can sometimes be a fast road so as you make your way there, keep your eyes peeled for the wee duck signs! If you blink you may sail right past us! PLEASE take care when turning into the cottage as the A830 can be a fast road. It is busy at peak times in the morning when visitors are driving to see the steam train.

Also please note that we do not accept third party bookings.

Due to the size of the cottage we can no longer take children under the age of 2. Guests have suggested that the rooms are too small to hold a cot so for this reason we now can no longer accept children under the age of 2.
THERE IS STRICTLY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES FROM THE COTTAGE.

Please also note that we do not have super fast broadband. If you plan to work from home this may be of concern as we cannot guarantee adequate speeds for video steaming especially if lots of other devices are being used simultaneously. This is not just confined to Kinlocheil, this is Lochaber wide.
Lastly we now accept one well behaved dog but your pet must not be left unattended in the cottage at any time and please not on the furniture. 🐶 ❤️ 🐶

Neighbourhood highlights

Our cottage sits all alone off the A830 "Road to the Isles". It is very private property.
Enjoy spectacular views of Loch Eil where you can watch cows and sheep grazing and spot the many birds that call Kinlocheil their home.
Clickety-Clack (as the name would suggest) sits on the site of a former railway house so from here you can watch the trains go by-the train only passes 8 times a day with the Jacobite Steam Train passing 4 times in the summer season. Blink and you will miss them! There are many great walks just a short drive away.
The nearest shop is approximately 10 miles away in Corpach. The Co-op is small but has everything you need to see you through. The last petrol station before you reach Clickety is the BP station at Lochy Bridge. I would fill up here as the next one is in Mallaig!
We have lots of lovely walks nearby so check out my guidebook for lots of lovely suggestions.

My work: Holiday Home owner
Hello! My name is Cat. I am local to the area, originally from Knoydart but now live in the village of Glenfinnan. I have worked in the tourist sector for many years and LOVE where I live. I champion all things West Coast and being local means I have the added bonus of insider knowledge when it comes to places to visit, dining out, adventure breaks or suggesting calming destinations. My aim was to build a hoilday home and offer not just a place to stay but also ensure you get the absolute best from your visit with us here in Lochaber, a true Highland experience. We have so much to see and do whilst surrounded by breathtaking scenery. I look forward to meeting you all!
