Where you’ll be

Acklington, England, United Kingdom

We are in a quiet location, but within easy reach of much of Northumberland. Within 15 minutes-
The historic market town of Alnwick with Alnwick gardens and Harry Potter's castle! Lots of independent eateries and shops to try too. Even a theatre with shows and films. Warkworth with its castle and beaches backed with sand dunes, arty shops and dog friendly pubs and cafes and the bustling fishing port of Amble too where you can sample freshly caught fish overlooking the harbour.

South to Newcastle in around 40 minutes with lots of cosmopolitan shops, bars, restaurants and museums- The Baltic, centre for life, discovery museum and theatres.

Within an hour West to the historic Hadrian's wall where soldiers once marched

Within 45 minutes to the North the castle and beaches at Bamburgh. Why not take a boat trip and see the puffins and seals at the Farne islands? Or across the causeway to Holy Island a step back in time.

Autumn and Winter offers new adventures with still miles of deserted wind swept beaches, markets amazing Christmas lights and the fantastic drumming light parade, to name a few.
