The space
Arncliffe House is in the middle of Ashford in the Water a beautiful village in the Peak District. The village is in the heart of the Peak District and the location enables you to use the house as a fantastic base for your break


On entering the property, you are met with an impressive kitchen / dining area which forms the centre of the house, furnished with oak flooring there is a boot room / coat hanging room tucked away opposite the walk in pantry

The most striking feature of the house is a beautiful oak staircase set in the original tiled hallway that leads you up to the bedrooms

The lounge are is more than 40ft long and spans the length of the house it provides masses of comfortable space for guest to relax in. After a day exploring The Peaks, you can relax in this vast room with the warmth of an open fire creating a cosy atmosphere (please supply your own logs and coal). The lounge is equipped with a quality TV that is connected to SKYQ and a baby grand piano for the musical amongst you.
There are French doors opening that open onto the impressive stoned terrace at the rear if the house - some of the stones are actually Ashford Marble from the village

You Should Know

Noise Policy - due to the residential location, late night noise must be confined to inside the building by 9pm. Neighbours are in close proximity - not suitable for stag/hen groups or rowdy birthday celebrations due to residential area.

Please note that we are dog friendly at this property and the house has a walled garden that is completely enclosed however, there are livestock in the surrounding fields and a main road to the front of the property so dogs must be kept under control at all times. For your information, a maximum of two dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged - you will be expected to keep them out of the bedrooms and off the soft furnishings. We do charge £20 per dog for the duration of your stay policy below:
We charge £20 per dog to stay at Arncliffe House, with a maximum of 2 dogs over the age of 1 year at one time. However, if there is extra cleaning above and beyond what we consider to be the normal clean (for example if we find they have been in the bedrooms upstairs, on the beds or sofas, we have the right to deduct any charges for excessive cleaning from the Security Deposit.

Guests wishing to take dogs to Arncliffe House must abide by the following rules: 
We must be informed at the booking stage so we can charge the appropriate fee

Dogs must be under strict control at all times while in the property, well behaved and house trained.

Dogs must be kept strictly out of  the bedrooms and away from soft furnishings, sofas and beds. Dogs MUST NOT lie on beds and the Property must be free from dog hair upon departure.

Any fouling must be cleared up by you without delay and before departure.

Dogs MUST NOT be left alone in the Property or garden or elsewhere at any time

Dog owners must ensure that their pets are free from parasites and fleas before they occupy the house.

Wifi – we provide free wifi however as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control, we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control.

Ashford is at the heart of the Peak District and is a fantastic base to walk or ride from - you can leave your car and do all this directly from the house
There are a number of pubs / restaurants and cafes in the area, that you can walk to or are a short drive away
If you want sightseeing etc then Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are both close by - Wrighty has also recommended lots to do in the welcome pack that is at the property and in the guidebook that is available to view as part of the listing online
