Berlanga del Bierzo, the town where the Las Orquídeas country house is located, is the head of the City Council, to which the towns of Langre and San Miguel de Langre also belong. Set in a natural environment, among meadows and centuries-old chestnut trees, we find interesting examples of rural and religious architecture, and above all, tranquility. Berlanga del Bierzo has a municipal swimming pool and four kilometers away in Vega de Espinareda, there is a river beach, in the vicinity of a Roman bridge, on the Cua River.

Other things to note
The mountains located north of Berlanga del Bierzo have one of the most interesting woodlands in Spain, home to species that are highly demanding in terms of habitat quality, such as the brown bear and the Cantabrian grouse; and they have been declared three Biosphere reserves: Los Ancares Leoneses, Laciana and Babia.
Ponferrada, 24 kilometers away, is a small city with many cultural and leisure activities, museums, a theater, a castle, and gastronomy.
