A charming, peaceful, self-catering wee abode set in a small wild rugged garden with splendid dramatic views of the loch, mountains, Ballachulish Bridge and neighbouring farmland. A romantic get-a-away, or a paradise for the outdoor enthusiasts! A great half-way stop from Glasgow to Isle of Skye, and easy to get to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, North Coast 500, Inverness, Oban, and beyond... Happy days!

The space
Please check that the location is to your expectations as this sweet open-plan unique cabin-type abode is set in a small quiet village with a pub/restaurant, but within easy driving distances to shops and stores.

Electric car charging points are at the Ballachulish Co-op (3 minutes' drive from the Lodge, and the Ballachulish Hotel (1 minute drive away). The Lodge does not facilitate charging electric cars.

An open-plan cabin with equipped kitchen, sitting area and bedroom having large glass panelled windows making the space light and airy. A comfortable size bathroom.

Loch Lodge has it's own parking, outside the gate.

Steps leading down to the Lodge are rather steep and gravelly, but the final reward of reaching the cabin is worth it!

There is no access to the mature garden below, but there is a small home-made bench and table, tucked away beside the cabin offering a little privacy for those wanting to eat and drink outside.

The shoreline at the end of the garden, and Bishop's Bay are gained by walking down the slipway (seconds and yards away) providing much amazing sceneries (as the photos shows) from all directions!

Fort William is 20 minutes beautiful drive away, whilst Glencoe Village and the local store in Ballachulish is from 4 minutes amazing drive away.

The Loch Leven Hotel pub and restaurant is within yards from the cabin. The Ballachulish Hotel is across the bridge, and only takes a few minutes walk to get there.

Guest access
We love dogs, and they are always welcome! Please let me know if you are bringing more than one doggy and what their breed is, as I love to know who they are. There is a couple of Pet Rules: no pets on sofa or bed!

From the cabin is a wonderful low-level walk that your pooch so, deserves! The walk offers amazing scenery of the area, loch and mountains. You may even see the deer peering from the forest, or a seal or otter bobbing up from the loch.

We do have the occasional visitors in the garden, ie. different types of birds, deer and rabbits, also sheep and cattle have also been known to break into the garden from their farmland!

Other things to note

Neighbourhood highlights

We consider our neighbourhood a quiet tranquil place, and although close to the Ballachulish Bridge, this makes it a pretty much a unique setting, especially evenings when its lights reflect into the water. Loch Leven Hotel's pub and restaurant, reasonably priced and good selection of meals, and the amazing Holroyd Art Gallery with incredible collection of paintings, both a few seconds walk away. A lot of these paintings are painted by our very talented locals. The Lodge is certainly blessed to also have neighbouring forest walks, path leading to the Loch, fields, farmland, and of course, the fantastic views of mountains seen in all direction. A great place to have an easy stroll! Having wildlife, deer, birds, rabbits, etc. and farm animals are an added bonus to our immediate neighbourhood. The Dragons Tooth Golf Club is across the Loch and not only having the golfing there, but also segway, clay pigeon shooting, and archery. Our neighbourhood also offer water sports, and boat rides. Couple of the Munros is seen from the Lodge and easily accessible, together with other amazing low level and high level walks. A fantastic cycle path "Route 78" is very close by, too.
